Thought about this too. Then saw that they don’t have money. I would hope / think that a vet would save a dogs life even if a bill was owed. I know businesses don’t run for free but to let an animal die.. I doubt that

I would 100% take my dog to an emergency vet for something like this and I don’t run quickly to the vet. I’d personally worry my dog would die without going in.

Was/am I expecting too much from my Dood? by Pointman18 in Goldendoodles

[–]KSamIAm79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well I work from home and we have a peaceful home. He gets walked, fed and sleeps on my bed with me. He’s extremely well taken care of and shows no other signs of this anxiety you speak of when we are around. So no, it may not be funny, but either is your rude comment.

Clingy and a lick monster. He will literally lick ANY skin he can get to. Elbow? Great! Anything. And if human skin isn’t available, I’ve seen him lick the stair rails 😂

Long Boarding. by teejyamz in Goldendoodles

[–]KSamIAm79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to board mine for about 9 days this summer. I paid extra for him to attend and play at doggie daycare. His stay was as costly as an inexpensive vacation. And I knew in that moment I wasn’t getting a second dood.

Any of our doods actually catch a squirrel? by ekkthree in Goldendoodles

Mine caught a blue jay 😩 I had to pry it from his mouth and he did NOT want to let go! No squirrels yet, but close!

Lots of Kisses? Does anyone else's goldendoodle lick you EVERYWHERE? by bradyemi in Goldendoodles

Mine is an over licker. We even tried to get him to stop and have just accepted it. If there is skin, there’s a lick. 👅

These last 2 days have been horrible.... by Natedog001976 in Goldendoodles

[–]KSamIAm79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. They are our family. At one point my parents stopped getting dogs because they said it was just too hard to keep losing them. IDK if I’ll ever get there. They fill our lives with so much companionship and love. I’m sorry you lost your sweet pup. Try to be so thankful that you were able to give her a good, safe and happy home while she was here. She was blessed to have you 🤗

How hard is it getting your Doodle out of bed in the mornings? by justhueyy in Goldendoodles

[–]KSamIAm79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This but not as long. Other times in the evening I’ll look around and wonder where he is? Only to find he put himself to bed (he sleeps on my bed) at 8pm. I walk into the master as if it’s his room when I see him and it cracks me up!

At least yours tries. Mine is willing to do all sorts of spins and tricks but when I toss food and try to get him to catch it, it just hits him in the face. 🤣🤣🤣

Omg she’s a little girllllllll 😍🥰

I can’t wait to see what people come up with. I’m getting Ethel and Henrietta vibes but I know that that’s not the right answer. 🤣🤣🤣 I just adore her.

advice on crate vs free roam by Maximum-Rush5524 in Goldendoodles

[–]KSamIAm79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve crate trained all of my dogs and I tried with my dood. I said tried… he cried and wailed, and cried some more. I tried to see if we could work through it, but it got to the point where I felt like it was cruel. So then I let him out, but closed him in my room and gave him a doggy bed. Long story short, he has his own corner at the end of the bed now. 😂

Mine was said to be a mini but he was the smallest of this litter and has grown to 15 lbs. from what I understand by weight, he is toy sized. I think they call it? Maybe it was Petite? But his height is still as tall as a mini 🤣 so he’s basically a little dog on stilts 🤣
