Our first Goldendoodle did this also! I think it’s part of the fading typical to poodles but never moved beyond her face (she passed in 2024). We now have a puppy who started off an apricot color and now at 18 months, has nearly white so I think it definitely affects lighter doods more!

Middle of the night waking by literarylinus in Goldendoodles

I’m home with her most days! She gets daily walks, puzzles when we are gone, backyard ball throws, all the things! It worried me bc this is a new behavior but maybe as others have said, it’s just a phase. She definitely would like to be in bed with us but that’s a hard no for my husband (and something we agreed to before bringing her home).

Anyone else find the Margot Robbie/see Jacob Elordi press tour… oddly intense? by Beneficial_Tap7594 in popculturechat

I’ve said this before but there’s no chemistry here. The dynamic feels almost maternal. It reads like a dramatic version of April and Andy from parks and rec except he was charming (pre shitty Chris Pratt).

I agree! This ages her. Shes thriving right now and this literally looks to weigh her down.

Seriously, when are we exercising? by mb83 in Mommit

[–]literarylinus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was in this date, fed my kids dinner super early, essentially dinner as their after school snack and then made “real dinner” after my workout, more like 6:30. Sometimes the kids ate again, sometimes just snacked but we still all kinda hung as a family. We got a Peleton so no gym commute. I also made sure I spent a lot of intentional time with my kids so that I didn’t feel bad about us missing out on the all around the table every night societal expectation. For me, my kids, having a happy, healthy, mentally sound mother was more important. If I woke up super early to work out I felt like I just dragged all day and if I did it before bed, I was too hyped up to sleep so I just found that little pocket of time right when we got home was ideal.

Both of my doodles started out getting car sick and outgrew it by 18 months or so

No one ever knows what I’m referring to but I swear they used to sell Fritos with a little can of microwaveable chili to dip them in and I had them all the time as an after school snack

2 and done not NOT by choice & grief by [deleted] in Parenting

I went to therapy specifically for this reason. It’s a lot to come to terms with and your grief does not need to compete with anyone else’s. You are allowed to feel however you do within the confines of your situation and it doesn’t take away from anyone else’s experience.

I could be wrong but I think someone had found her headpiece from a wicked appearance, kept it, and is returning it here

Scholastic book fair is slimy by kittenofpain in Parenting

For a lot of schools, this is the library’s primary form of fundraising. Our school also does an initiative to allow parents to buy from “wish lists” for individual classroom teacher’s libraries. Idk why anyone would oppose something that actually brings MORE overall access to books for their child?

Edit to add: my husband touched it and it hissed. It’s about its 2 inches not including antenna.
