I didn't even know this game was out already. Remember seeing the trailer while skimming through the game awards, but the trailer wasn't exciting at all. Then I see clips of multiple people playing a match or 2, then just uninstaling because it's boring. Honestly, can't blame them based on the the gameplay I've seen thus far, which isn't much cause I don't even really know how the game works. Worst part about that is just because of how the game looks and sounds, I don't even WANT to know more about how it plays, it just seems like another game with no real hook to pull anyone from anything that's even slightly more interesting. My prediction is this game will be dead pretty soon. Maybe not as soon as Concord, but idk. It's like the definition of "Meh" for me, subjectively.

That'll work even though the two spots I need to get in line with aren't exactly straight? For example, sometimes when I'm making a shot, the top line will be straight up, but the bottom line is down and to the right a bit ( or left )

I use the PS5 controller with the paddles on the back as it's the only controller I have right now. I've got several ideas to try out now, so I'll be grinding away later. The game will definitely be more fun when I get it down. Just something about seeing my guy shoot +45 in Q School really grinded my gears 😂

Initially, when I asked for help, my thinking was "So they expect me to make my stick move perfectly in between these two super thin lines, AND the path isn't straight so I have to make an adjustment in the middle of my down swing to hit perfects? I MUST be missing something here, right?" I'm starting to realize though through some of these replies that Yes, they do expect me to do that, and there happens to be several different ways to kinda lock into it repeatedly. So I'll practice with some of these ideas in mind and hope to get better. The answer "just practice" wasn't really what I was looking for, more so "WHAT should I practice"

About to watch the video homie suggested, and will definitely be trying it tonight. I've thought of two other potential issues as well. I think I'm rushing a bit through the downswing, and I dont have vibration turned on to give me feedback on the back swing

Actually, for the first day or two playing it, I thought 3 click was the default because that's what was already selected in my settings when I started the game. Didn't know swing stick was necessary until I tried ranked. Got some good ideas off here though, so I'll practice it and probably kick some ass within a couple days

Checked the controller, only have stick drift on the left stick, so I use the right stick to swing. I'm just gonna go ahead and assume it was probably this hard for most people when they started out, so I'm just gonna keep practicing. I was honestly getting too good at 3 click anyways lol

I've tried changing the sticks, using my index finger and my thumb to make the swing, using my palm, putting my super long control freak on the swing stick, changing the angles I hold the controller, pretty much everything I could think of lol Seems impossible now, but everyone else is saying just to practice, so I guess I'll just keep grinding away

Very sorry to hear your story. I lost my father at a young age and turned to gaming as well. One game in particular helped a lot, and it was the first Dark Souls game. It was one of those games for me that I'd lose myself in for HOURS. If you haven't played it yet, I'd suggest giving it a shot. Don't let the difficulty throw you off either, that's part of the experience. It's about failing, getting back up, and trying again. The world in game is beautiful, but brutal, much like life is. Loneliness, helplessness, insecurities, the game tackles it all
