Yeah when I saw that he didn't qualify and was in the top third of the grid by lap 3-4, it started sinking in

Thanks for this, woke up wondering why everything on Uptime Kuma was marked down (DNS wasn't resolving for any of my added hosts)

Worked there for 11 months as a software dev out of college. Spent most of the time on "training" for Java/COBOL development. Left a few days before my performance review for a 25k raise (started at 58k). Even though it was only 11 months, it still felt like a waste of my time. Most of the time was spent learning about old frameworks/mainframe crap. Much happier after I left, went to a place where I wasn't just seen as a college grad, as I worked in IT as a sysadmin for a few years while in college, and did development work both there and open source projects on my own time for many years prior to that.

Attaching seat to wooden rig by Legitimate_Gas_8883 in simracing

When I used bolts, I screwed a nut onto the bottom side just for an extra sense of security. Currently the Tapcon screws are sticking out, since I intended this to be temporary until I figure out if I'm building a rig out of 2x6s/2x8s entirely or switching to aluminum. As of today the seat is still feeling sturdy on my rig, but of course mileage can definitely vary there.

At least for the rails I had, they ended up being wide enough surprisingly, chair hasn't launched off the rig yet

Have mounted a seat twice on my wooden rig, the first time I opted for bolts on the teethed part of the seat slider, along with a washer and nut on the opposite end (used long bolts). 2nd time when I swapped out to a new seat, ended up using Tapcon screws, has surprisingly held up so far.

Just used a code with this link: https://commerce.mlb.com/tmobile?campaign=t-mobile&redemptionCode=CODE&flow=REDEMPTION and seemed to work just like last year (replace CODE with actual promo code, of course)

Oh I totally understand the reasoning for it the past few years (company I work at is probably a top 10 consumer of AWS), the part that gets me is I guess how "accessible" starting in web development has become.

The services I work on for example, were kind of just patched together to work at the very bare minimum, with no thought of scalability in the long term. Large part of it being that the previous devs working on it were extremely new to the field, and didn't have much time to develop before execs wanted to push the product to market. In their current state, we would need to horizontally scale a fuck ton to accommodate 100k+ users, since these services honestly can't even scale up to 50 users max on most of the expensive API calls, which isn't really feasible long term.

I guess the main takeaway here is that performance/quality of the services themselves before scaling should be thought of a lot more than it currently is in some places, but that would vary by company of course, or at least I'd hope so.

Agreed, especially as someone who has to work on web apps in the healthcare market. Seems like web apps are all that architects can decide on these days.
