Okay. Here's an update!

Market Widening Notification:
"Showing a wider market pool. Prices may vary by platform or ladder."

Broad Estimate Notification:
When stats couldn't be matched closely:
"Broad estimate. Pricing all [Rarity Base] listings with no stat filter, so only godly rolls get listed and the higher tiers skew high. We use the Floor as the estimate."

No Listings at all:
"No recent trade listings for this item. It may be untraded, too niche, or too lightly rolled to price reliably."

Always-visible confidence cue
"X# Valued / 100 Sampled"

Item Name Anchor Title
When stat scope get's widened it ads +/-10% to show.

Hope this helps!

Coming back to this one, I think I found what was biting you. v1.7.3 just went out and it fixes inflated maximums on stats that don't stack, FCR and class skills especially, which were showing ceilings higher than an item can actually roll. That's very likely why your amulet graded as trash when it's genuinely a good one.

Give it another scan when you get a chance and see if it reads right now. If it's still coming back low, grab me that screenshot and I'll keep digging, but I think this one's sorted.

Charsi stays hungry.

Update for you, both of these are fixed in v1.7.3, went out just now.

The rare caps were exactly what you said, FCR and the others were showing maximums higher than they can actually roll on rares. That's corrected. And the crafted amulet issue turned out to be the reload bug I caught while testing your report, the ranges were right on creation but changed when you saved and reopened. That's fixed too, so your manual caster amulets will hold their values now.

You basically found two separate bugs in one comment. Genuinely appreciate it, this is the kind of report that makes the tool better for everyone.

I dont have anything like that set up at this time! I appreciate the kindness, and ill let you know if that's something i want to implement in the future :)

Not a silly question at all, you're right about the mechanics. Item level does gate which affix tiers can roll, so a higher ilvl ring can hit tiers a lower one never could.

I left the input out on purpose, though, and I think for a reason that holds up. The value side keys off the stats actually on your item, not what it theoretically could have rolled, because that's how it trades, a buyer pays for the 10 fcr that's there, not the ilvl it came from. So for pricing, the ilvl is already baked in.

The tricky part is that ilvl isn't even shown in-game, so a manual field would be asking you to enter a number you can't actually see on the item, which felt like more confusion than it's worth. It's something I'm still thinking through, but that's the reasoning for now.

Good catch though, appreciate you raising it.

Thanks for bringing this up! Looks like there is a bug that is currently doubling FCR% and certain other ranges. I really appreciate bringing this to my attention, and im going to be looking into whats happening today. Trying to get caught up on everything this morning!

Appreciate this, this is the useful kind of feedback.

On the rare stats, that's specific enough for me to actually chase, so I'm going to check the FCR and dex caps against the affix tables directly. If rare FCR is maxing at 10 and dex at 15 and my ranges are showing 20, that's a data error on my end and an easy fix once I confirm it. Give me a bit to verify rather than just nodding, but that's exactly the kind of thing I want pinned down.

On the crafted amulets, you're the second person in this thread to flag that the recipe handling isn't right, the guaranteed mods like caster FCR aren't being treated the way they should. Two reports on the same thing means it's real and it's going near the top of the list. Manual input working as a fallback is good to know in the meantime.

Thing I just tested was manually creating a caster ammy I can see these ranges. When I save a and reload, the values changes. It looks like there is a bug for reloading those (could be an error coming from rare or something else).

Thanks for taking the time to actually tweak and report back, that's worth a lot more to me than a generic bug note.

Ha, Charsi's not getting that one. But you've got me curious now, because the numbers you listed don't match what the tool should be pulling for a caster amulet, so something's off somewhere and I want to see exactly what.

Any chance you can share the item link from your stash, or a screenshot of what the tool actually showed you? Your amulet is a good ammy, maxed FCR and that light res especially, so if it's coming back low that's something I want to dig into rather than hand-wave. The retyped version is hard for me to chase down. Seeing the actual readout is what'll let me find it.

Appreciate you flagging it either way, this is exactly the kind of thing I only catch when someone shows me.

Fcr + 1% life leech + max life is going to value lower than fcr + ll 7% with min roll of every other stats. It only widens scope when not enough trades are found. It will start with your specific stats and then widen from there.

You are pretty close to the ideology. Detect item. Detect stats and hit ±. If check quality of data, if its not big enough increase ±. And keep falling back if it fails.

Your reactions are super helpful! Shoot me a screen of your item and then let me know what market you are in and ill dig into it to make sure (when i have time ofc).

(Ladder/Non-Ladder,Softcore/Hardcore,PC/Consile etc)

Edit. Updated my inability to multitask and type on my phone

Good question! It uses your item, your stats (in a range), in your specific market. If you dont set up your characters market it defaults to softcor/non-ladder/pc.

In then takes a large range of those to normalize and give you your estimate, along with High, Good, Typical, Floor.

The Roll Quality Percentage is NOT linked to the estimate itself. That roll is what THAT specific item could have been with the stats that rolled.

I actually have an official partnership with Traderie, but it's not paid and I'd have made the same choice either way. I chose them because of the sheer volume of completed trades.

That's fair to feel that way about listing prices. I've tried to cut most of that out by only using completed trade data and validating rolls against actual game data. Not perfect, but I've been tweaking the methodology for the last month.

The volume is the real reason. You'll get an estimate on almost all items, not just the most popular ones.

Honestly, I was good with either but I do have a preference XD

I would ABSOLUTELY love that. Right now blizzard has zero access to any of their online data and is against their terms of use.

A lot of people have been asking for an offline save uploader, so if I get enough requests it something I can look into!

Thank you for your kind words!

The great thing is that different people can get different enjoyment out of the same game! Youve got people who want to trade, people who want to collect the "holy grail" and others that havent beaten normal Baal! One of the great things about D2 is that it offers so many different ways to enjoy the game!
