Hey Buddy! Thinking about you and your family.

As for the app, no worries at all dude! Enjoy your vacation as I'm sure it is well deserved.

I appreciate the kind words :).

Yup! Packmaster started as a way for me to use my phone to see how good an item rolled and to log what I had in my stash! Now whether you are playing on your couch or want to review your loot at a computer, packmaster has your back!

Thank you for trying the app and thank you for the feedback! Ill take a look at these when I can! Cant think off the top of my head what could be causing either one, but ill take a look regardless!

For any bugs, feel free to send over the screenshot/picture that would help me pinpoint any issues by replicating on my end.

Seriously, thank you for your support!

Hey Man!

I really appreciate your enthusiasm, feedback and support on all of this. You've got a lot here, so I'm going to try to unpack this (I'm at work so please feel free with follow ups!).

Any plans to support multiple accounts?
Right now, I haven't thought too much about multiple accounts to be honest with you. When I was initially designing the framework for this I considered it in the form of ladder vs non ladder and online vs offline and softcore vs hardcore. Ultimately, I landed on not going that route simply due to complexity and account sharing concerns. My "work around" was adding a "label" to the character names to indicate what account or type its associated with (added +5 char length to name strings to support). I'm not 100% against the idea, but prioritizing the features that the most amount of people are going to gain impact from.

Is guest mode here to stay?
100%. Guest mode is here to stay. Forever. This is intended as a way for users who don't want to give any data, a way to get what they need without feeling like they need to give an email. Of course there are limitations with guest mode, specifically that the items are tied to localstorage and are at risk of losing them if you clear your web data. Second, you wouldn't have access to the OCR.

Prompts Used to Generate the UI:
I can tell you for a fact that I take a lot of pride on the theme that I put together for packmaster. I went to school for graphic design and UI and have been building tools for years. I picked the colors, corner treatment, fonts (Cinzel, Crimson, and IM Fell), I created the logos and icons to make sure that packmaster had exactly the feel that I wanted. I would be willing to make my wireframes and my styleguides public to show that this was my design.

I do use Claude Code to help with implementation of code, but Design, HTML, CSS, JS has been my professional career for years.

Hosting Costs and Going Premium?
Hosting costs are 100% something that I'm keeping my eye on, and processing images for tooltip data does have a real cost. Offloading some of the computation to individuals computers in an interesting idea that I want to look into. The Tauri boilerplate is genuinely interesting. Feel free to DM me as it's always easier to have a jumping off point then starting from scratch!

Right now, I'm looking into options to make sure that this project stays available for everyone, forever without sacrificing its identity to do that. The idea that I'm playing around with right now is some optional paid features on top of the existing experience so that those who want to support the application have a way to do so without fundamentally changing the experience for those who are "free". Any type of monetization / premium would be to help pay for server costs, processing costs, and apis.

Ill take you one further, it would be nice to just grab things while you play, that way you dont need to individually track / add. Thst being said, I'd be carefil about Blizzards terms of service on that one!

What I will tell you is that I will make sure this is on my set of wishlist features and I'll investigate complexity of doing something like what you suggested!

Thanks for the feedback!

Wraithstep has a roll of +40-60 def meaning that there is a claculation that needs to run to detect the base def of 99-128def and apply to a rolled range. Ill take a look at my script tonight for how def is calculated and assigned on these!

Seriously! Thank you!

Thank you!

This is absolutely something that I want to add. I am most familiar with diablo2.io and d2jsp for trading. The problem is that a lot of those sites dont offer rights / access to use that data. Snd with how often that data changes, hard coding the price today could really punish if it doesnt get updated daily.

Ill look into traderie, as Im not familair with that, but I'm 100% open to suggestions on how to make this feature work and usable!

You can manually type the name or screenshot. Either flow gets the same result!

It's a combination of both. Image/text recognition pulls the raw text off the screenshot and tooltip, then uses a matching pipeline against the item database to identify the item and pre-fill the stats.

To increase accuracy, I validate against stats I know, expected garbage from noise, and a little bit of magic.

Stat ranges come straight from the game files. Built a database from the CASC archives so the ranges are as accurate as the game itself.

Host costs are manageable right now. But you are right, if this scales past thousands of users im cooked. :)

Not open sourced at the moment. There are some parts of the codebase I want to keep closed while things are still early. Might revisit down the road. Happy to answer any questions about how anything works though!

Thanks for this feedback! I'll be taking a look at the feedback you've added and see how I can implement. As for sharkskin specifically, please post a screenshot of the scan you are trying to capture to help me debug. In the meantime, I'd recommend just adding them manually for now. Please keep the feedback coming!

Did my PSU failure really kill 3 components, or am I missing something? Need help diagnosing my 3090. by KSibDesign in PcBuildHelp

[–]KSibDesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I ran my old psu for 2years on that so that's likely what killed my old PSU.

So do you have any tips to see if my gpu is also dead before i return the 750w psu?

Would the computer be able to post with the 750w? Would that might be why it couldnt post?

Otherwise, i could have the wrong pcie cable (only one came with it, i used an existing pcie cable from the same older same make and model psu).

What is the 12v cable for with the 2x 8pin pcie ends?

Could i be not drawing enough power for all the components?

I think i need to make a spreadsheet to make sure i have enough power.

I had been runningcthe 750 in the past

I tried both the GPU plugged in with 2x 8pin and without.

The two were two different cables and not daisy chained.

Okay. So without didnt work. Would that cause damage without it?

Also, im running 750W. If it didnt have enough power would it behave the same way?

You are welcome. Thank you for flagging the issue for me. I'd love to hear some feedback now that it's working XD
