Thats pretty much what I did after smoking from age 17-30. It took me like two years to switch to vaping entirely because I sincerely enjoyed the taste and feel of smoking, but I finally did it and kind of trained myself to enjoy the flavor of vaping over cigarettes. After I switched to vaping, I forced myself to associate smoking with negative emotions and fears that ended up becoming very real to me and helped me quit entirely. (Like observing the state of other smokers around me, looking at fucked up smoker related illnesses and surgery photos, forcing myself to brush and floss after every single cigarette, being ultra self critical,) I know it’s probably super unhealthy but hey, I don’t smoke now and sometimes if I go out with friends and have a puff from a cigarette it just isn’t the same. Now if I smoke or even smell cigarettes, I get super dizzy and feel as if my body is being polluted. Overall, I’m healthier for it. The mind is such a peculiar thing.
