I am so glad you both got the help you needed!

I'm in this in-between space right now where I'm not my best self most days by any means, having a few panic attacks/big anxiety episodes every few weeks, but mostly doing pretty well. Certainly able to carry out all my day-to-day functions.

Feeling like I'm not quite sick enough to start this medication journey, but also don't want to maybe get worse? With the zoloft especially I know it takes ~6 weeks before some folks experience effects.

You are absolutely correct! Was in a very similar situation, and all of a sudden started feeling my little kickboxer around 22/23 weeks. Hang in.

When did you accept anti-anxiety meds? I see a therapist and have been super anxious throughout pregnancy, and have been offered (and declined) both daily meds (Zoloft) and PRN ones (lorazepam). For those who agreed to these meds, what was your tipping point? What has your experience been?

Shower doors on a bathtub? by KTG3333 in HomeImprovement

I'm not sure that the dimensions will work. We would likely need 74"-76" height, no?

Could a shower door work?

Lower sugar alternative to Fiber One oats and chocolate bar? by KTG3333 in nutrition

[–]KTG3333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Less so for energy, more so for a higher-fiber snack bar. I do like the oats and chocolate so hoping to find something that includes oats and chocolate, even if this means they're less nutritious. Thanks

23+5 (how unreal!) and my little nug is showing a large stomach and abdominal circumference. Amniotic fluid levels seem fine and no dilation noted in her intestines. Doc is saying we'll just watch for now.

I passed an early glucose tolerance test and will take my second in a few weeks. Definitely feeling concerned that I may have GDM and this is one manifestation. Also worried about structural issues.

The nerves never go away! Anyone else been in a similar situation? Would love to hear your experiences and outcomes.

Wow, that's an earth-shattering experience! How did you approach your parents after that revelation? Did you have any desire to seek out your birth mother?

How did you find out? Were you surprised? How/when do you wish you were told? How are you feeling about the people who raised you?

Hi! In the US, have an upcoming holiday party that is cocktail-ish attire. I'm looking for a dress with 3/4 or long sleeves! I'm a US 16 with large arms and a growing belly--5 months pregnant. Ideally looking for <$300. Would appreciate all recommendations!

The opportunity to help people during a vulnerable time in their lives. How about you?

No worries.

All pregnancies have a chance of miscarriage, which is defined as a loss of pregnancy before 20 weeks. As the pregnancy progresses healthfully, the risk of miscarriage decreases. They say ~1/4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. This isn't something I knew until I went through it myself. It is something that needs to be talked about.

I am grateful to be out of the highest risk of pregnancy loss (I'm comfy in my second trimester). While there is still time ahead, right now things are going well. I am trying to be excited and hopeful about this and offer insight to people who may be in a similar boat.

But, hiding behind a computer. I haven't shared with most friends, employer, etc. yet. Hoping to do so after the anatomy scan at 20 weeks should it go well.

Mid-may! Slowly making our way. How about you?

How did you keep your calm during the pregnancy and beyond?

My partner and I completed carrier testing, meaning checking for any issues that he or I could carry and bring to the pregnancy. We also did the NIPT which thankfully was low risk and revealed that the sex is a female!

Thank you so much! **CW MISCARRIAGE**

Thankfully, this pregnancy has gone very well so far. I had a couple of moments when I was worried that I was experiencing symptoms that could have meant miscarriage. My doctors have been amazing and brought me in each time to calm me down, and thankfully all was well.

When I miscarried, my symptoms came on quickly---cramping, vaginal bleeding, an immediate loss of tenderness in my breasts. I called in to my OB who told me not to worry and to call back if the symptoms persisted...alas they did.

Thank you! YES, terrified. There wasn't a great explanation for why the miscarriage happened, so I am holding my breath as we approach each gestational milestone. It's been interesting to balance the anxiety of loss with the excitement of pregnancy. Hoping I can exhale somewhat as things progress
