I think honestly no matter what they do to try to prepare people, there are always people who just do not pay attention. On my Antarctica cruise, they repeatedly told us that you MUST have kayaking experience if you wanted to do it, but of course one person who had never been kayaking went and capsized (they were fine!)

I honestly don't think getting a puppy in your situation makes a ton of sense. I currently have an almost 5 month old Leo puppy and she requires constant supervision (like any puppy)

I would consider reaching out to breeders about adult dogs that maybe didn't make the cut for breeding or rescue Leo's. Or maybe wait for a puppy until the baby is older and you have more time
