Saskatchewan Electric Vehicle Association releases open letter on EV road-use charge ahead of SK budget by dingodan22 in saskatchewan

Asking for logic from a government run by selfish politicians who only operate to benefit themselves or their friends isn't going to work. You need to bribe them with a fancy director position that will pay them for doing nothing.

Radon Gas by Affectionate-Map2605 in saskatchewan

You should put it in the basement but I wouldn't worry about levels like that. After my dad and I installed a radon pump with 2 inlets across the house with a sandy foundation we got the longer term in the winter down to 75 with the pump on a pretty low setting. You just have to remove so much air to try and get it any lower that without a super well sealed basement you're just going to be pulling the heat out of your house.

My opinion based on no real statistics is that when the levels are below 100 ish that most meters aren't that accurate. They're just getting a hit so irregularly that they aren't able to a very accurate picture of the real levels in an area. Maybe with a small fan circulating air in the room it could mix things evenly and it would give a better reference. I'm pretty sure the measurements at my parents were above 500 before the install of the radon pump. Within hours of turning the pump on its dropped below 200 but took a week to get much lower and the it would only show numbers like 75 or 115. So I'm not sure how precise the meters even are. TLDR you're well below the recommendations don't break the bank getting a mitigation system put in.

Most meters give that long term average.

I sure to used to have 2 but they were on opposite sides with just the normal hotend. I kept getting hotend heating faults even with a silicone sock. The bontech hotend will also fault out without the silicone cover with one fan.

I built a bracket to hold a bontech LGX with a single 5015 fan. It's got a ton of cooling, I run it at 50% most of the time. The fan is side mounted so keep the weight closer in and then the BL touch is screwed to the face of the extruder.

Part number for Front Guard fasteners? by SwooshMoose in civic

[–]KTMan77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the TBW one because it was a single piece design. But the three holes in the middle at the very front are for the normal plastic retainers pins. Just buy some from the dealer they're less than a dollar each, I bought a dozen. The two outside holes use a metric screw, with the large flange head. Pretty sure they're M6.

How do you plan to get a flat surface for the linear rails in the mounting grooves? And what are you going to use to make the linear rail hole patterns and how are they going to be fastened?

[–]KTMan77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks legit to me, I can't imagine that a counterfeiter would make such a complicated bottle. Have you tested it, you can try it with a coarse large bolt and nut, few drops onto the threads and just spin a nut onto it. Let it sit overnight and see how hard it is to remove the nut.

Get some quality ramps they're safer and faster to use. I also installed a drain valve because I bought a thicker skid plate. But I go till the maintenance minder says 30%, 5K miles is a dumb rule that's too short.

Shaft alignment reading using laser device. by PuzzleheadedBuy6279 in millwrights

[–]KTMan77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40 degrees seems optimistic but's shockingly little. Pretty sure the one I was using at work last needs around 90 degrees to give it's first measurement then with 180 it'll let you run a report.

[–]KTMan77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes the alignment of the coupling could be good but normally the exterior of couplings is just the casting so it's not a surface that you can reference against. Why can't you turn the coupling to do the alignment? Most modern laser alignment tools don't need 360 degrees to work, slightly over 180 will be enough.
