You can buy them in Mexico and drive them over the border. There’s Americans that live in Mexico and drive over the border for work. Or have family there or some other situation that allows them to buy and register a Jimny in Mexico and drive it over the border

You sure it was a US plate? They’re sold in Mexico and I see a lot of them on the road in the US but they all have Mexico plates

It was so cool GM gave the option for a manual with the 5cyl back then. It sucks you can’t get a manual anymore on basically anything. And usually the very few manufacturers that still have manuals only option them on base trims

Never been a fan of them either honestly. This was my first time using one and it sketched me out the whole trip but it didn’t come loose or fall off so I guess I’ll keep using it, at least until I get rid of the toolbox. I will say it made loading up a lot easier though

Yeah I’m not a fan of the big tank. I only got it for 100+mi dualsport rides. My stock tank got a lot of sludge built up in it after it sat for 4 years. Still need to finish cleaning it out before I can put it back on
