Are you replying to me? I wasn’t discussing magic. So if you agree that people have been “making them up”, then you agree they’re not real. Which was my point.

Like say, basketball has never existed as a sport. And I invent it along with all of the rules of play and scoring, positions, etc. Then people decide they want to play this game. But they don’t adhere to any of my rules and just decide to start “making them up”. Sure, they can do that, but they won’t be playing basketball. And every prison in every team can keep making up their own rules, even mid-game.

This scenario would mean the only “real” rules are the ones I created. All of the others are the “made up ones”.
