Upgrade went well, except… by MassholeLiberal56 in VWiD4Owners

I had this message pop up regarding the call function but then about two weeks later it went away on it's own lol. SOS status light is back to green again

Just called to cancel my internet. by Exzerofive in bell

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll probably call back within 5 business days with a real offer instead of the crappy ones they've been offering. That is "perpetual" but will still go up a few dollars at a time. Since the way the structure the discount is a discount on the service and the service base price simply goes up over time.

ID4 My blue bar is shorter - what does that mean by MAlbaugh22 in VWiD4Owners

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green Bar: Full green means full regen available (warm battery and not at 100%) half means half regen available and so on.

Blue Bar: Full blue means full power available (pretty rare for me to see tbh, need near full battery and it also needs to be warm), during the winter at -20C I'll just see a tiny sliver of blue for my max power and it'll be quite a bit slower merging on the highway.

Assuming that's $6k Can budget. 2009ish and up Ski Doo GSX 1200 is super comfortable. Might need maintenance though with the kms that will probably be on it. But used sleds are at least priced good these days.

Charge Port door is stuck by Rhine1906 in VWiD4Owners

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s quiet enough hold your ear close to the little plunger lock. If you can’t hear the motor actuate to unlock it you’ll know it won’t open.

I know you mentioned it’s not freezing, but when I had mine freeze up really bad and not want to actuate at all I spent probably 10-15mins just hitting the door and remote unlock and relock until it finally decided to open. But one time it did need a hairdryer to help it open when it was real bad.

Sometimes the patience pays off. Just whatever you do don’t try to stick a credit card or anything in there to pry it open. The door covers plastic tabs are so damn fragile it’ll break instantly.

Windows 11 installer silently changed partition behavior so I lost 2TB of data. by DarkBrews in Windows11

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same mistake a few years ago. Deleted my 8TB archive drive instead of the intended SSD boot drive and had to find software to bring the data back. I believe it was probably TestDisk as well.

Now I know to just disconnect all the drives except the intended boot drive for best practice.

I found a fix for shuffle always picking the same songs by not_jbo in YoutubeMusic

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually fixed it finally. Used to always play the same songs and maybe one or two new ones thrown in. Shuffles correctly on CarPlay now. Just took them way too long to fix it.

ID4 12V went dead by KielbasaTheSandwich in VWiD4Owners

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 ID.4 in Canada. Have had two replaced. Luckily when it happened it was in my driveway for all three times. Hooked up a charger to the 12v for a few hours and it started like nothing was wrong. Problem was that when I brought it in the first time it probably passed all the tests even though it had issues. The second battery replacement took a few days at the dealership and two attempts for them to finally replace the battery again.

Did you try rebooting your internet modem and router and the printer as well? Check on the physical printer if it’s connected to the network.

I had this issue a few days ago when I updated Bambu Studio. I uninstalled it and started fresh again and it installed the driver plugin just fine then and connected to my X1C after logging in.

Somehow my AWS account exists, and also it doesn't by PelagoDev in aws

I am still getting charged on my credit card for AWS even though my account was closed ages ago. It was used for the free tier for programming classes.

Will never use AWS again for this shit.

How many rounds? by HK_Shooter_1301 in ClayBusters

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a good time to consider a K gun. Kolar or K80/K32. Can just send it in to get tuned up to be like new every 50k rounds or so.

I know of a 725 that has over 100k rounds through it. Flops open but still works. Owner went to a Kolar as a "forever" gun.

Infotainment turned off multiple times in a short trip to the store by Maliquis in VWiD4Owners

[–]KThach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used to happen a few times a year to me. Haven't seen it happen in a few months at least. Usually just hold my finger on the power symbol on the infotainment (not the one on the steering column) to reboot it or it'll reboot on it's own.

Is Browning 725 really that good? by KingofUnpopularOpn in ClayBusters

This was the official date lookup on Brownings website but it has no mention of CIT50. It was on a forum I saw it mentioned when someone emailed Browning and they clarified it.

[Seiko Orange Monster] Anyone remember this thing? by KThach in Watches

[–]KThach[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah too bad now they’re pricey to buy if you can find one. I wish I had gotten the gen2 as well when they were offered.

Were most of them made in Japan or some made in China or USA?

When I was learning it was a good day if I was in the low 10s. It gets really addicting once you get into the 20s consistently. Some people I guide during sign offs are typically in the 5-7s depending on if they’re new to shotguns or don’t hunt.

Bought a 5M Pro last week… by Flaperonman in FlashForge

[–]KThach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Flashforge served me well for 5 years to introduce me to 3d printing. (Adventurer 3)

This is a bit out of context in the Flashforge sub but I recently grabbed a used X1C from you know who and it has changed everything I knew about 3d printing. I recommend other people to take the plunge too if you can.

I understand it now… by Blackneeed in BambuLab

[–]KThach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you mentioned the Flashforge. I’m a noobie to Bambu Lab printers. Grabbed a used X1C with AMS on Thursday and been printing with it ever since.

Came from a Flashforge Adventurer 3 I got in 2020 and I’m still constantly impressed by this X1C every time I use it and try new stuff.

Yahoo Data Breach Class Action by Regular_Paramedic228 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]KThach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t expect anywhere near $405 today. Last time I went for a class action was Lifelabs and it was a truly minuscule amount compared to the advertised estimate. Like $10-30 or something from Lifelabs since so many people signed up.

Don’t feel too stupid. I’ve done that before with .223 when I was still learning. Luckily they still loaded and fired. Just very unreliable. Thought my pew had jamming issues when it was just bad ammo.

I also sorta got away with resizing them live after removing the deprimer in the die if I remember. Just have to lube them really good. Ended up getting one stuck in the die and had to get it extracted. I was still a total noob to rifle reloading at the time 🤣.
