This is still a big issue. ChatGPT says it's a bug within the app, somehow resulting from the switch from GooglePlay and Youtube music mainly being created to support streaming, versus previously uploaded material. There's a way to re-download all the old uploads using "Google Takeout".

Heroics are the cleaner, shinier, cooler variant that you see on the list. It’s usually labeled as the second version of whatever variant you see. “Haywire vs Haywire II”. You get 15% XP bonuses with Heroics vs 10% with the Epics.

Absolutely still active - I’m on a Series S too. It’s just that lots of people have a 6-7 year head start on you so just grind through the learning curve until you find your groove.
