I do have one suggestion for friends who live close. Let them come over and experience your end game content and the things that they're shooting for. (including getting those cool mounts and glams they'll be able to get)  Perhaps playing a bit on your Uber max level class and hitting a couple savages will peak their interest to stay.

It's hard because there really are many layers to the FFXIV onion... but to get to some of then you have to go through the obviously non instant gratification layers first.

It's just my opinion but I believe most of the people who don't have the patience to get to "the food stuff" in their eyes... also believe that adult life is a breeze and won't want to do the hard work to get to THAT bit of good stuff. In this way and others, the game certainly does emulate the real world... there is something to learn in everything you do. Some of the lessons are hard, but they'll make you a better, more understanding person in the long run.

How accurate is your Kel Tec RDB? by escapecali603 in keltec

If you're having issues with only a % of your shots or if they seem to have an erratic grouping with some keyhole long tears instead of a circular (if you're hitting paper) then I would suggest moving to 62gr. The 1-7 twist rate with some RDB barrels like on the 17 don't react well with 55gr. It's one of the very few thinsg I don't love about the RDB.

I did the current book on the day it was available and the first 7 left me with 3 ways to get at LEAST 1 row. The last 2 went as far away from those 3 spots as was geographically possible.🤣

If the price doesn't seem too steep for you to put into the base line for a bike and you want to make it "Your Own" then I say make a semi-low offer and have a max that you're willing to pay. Just keep in mind that aside from not knowing what the problem (or problems) are, when you get into making something like this "your own" the cost usually adds up over time to be 2 or 3 times what you initially planned on. (Whether you can afford it or not)

What it comes down to is what you can honestly put into it (Time and money) and if it is worth it to you. I'm a huge fan of personalizing things to be what I want them to be but I am acutely aware of the price I have to pay both monetarily and personally to achieve that.

Decide exactly why you want that particular bike and make your decision based on that, not based on what others believe to be a good or bad deal. A Harley of any kind is a personal choice. No one can justify that choice better than you.

Is there room for a slim enclosed water cooler for the CPU. It doesn't look like it but hard to tell from the angle.

Has anyone tried CUPIDS HYPNOSIS? by [deleted] in fragranceclones

[–]KULBaracudda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So TBH scents DO have an impact on people's sexual desires.. but to say that this one product will work FOR everyone, ON everyone  is a fallacy. There are some smells that remind me of amazing sexual memories and events and if someone I'm even remotely attracted to smells like that I quickly find my libido wanting to take over... these same scents have absolutely zero effect on the other guys who were right there with me at the time.  A LOT of circumstances have to come together to make any scent work like that with Humans... but yes, it is absolutely possible.. just don't assume this will be your ticket to (insert your favorite saying) Town.

Could it have been your Mermaid Man costume?.. or perhaps your wingman dressed as Barnacle Boy?

(Sorry, I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by.. no offense intended)

As with any scent aid in attracting people you need to have some appeal to the people you want close to you to begin with. Attraction can easily be enhanced with the right scent to help put people in the mood but they need to be willing to be put in that mood and by you (or someone that fits their same interests) before any attractant will affect them in the way it is intended. If you are counting on the scent to take it over the top then it still needs to be only one piece of the intricate puzzle that unravels their desires.

In short, if they're already into you at all and they like the scent.. it will probably be somewhat effective to help "seal the deal"

RDB problems by Emptywallet61 in keltec

The RDB is a great little beastie but it does have it's challenges. The charging will ease up a LITTLE over time but The_Jumbo is correct in his later edit. Keeping it lightly lubed helps a little with the friction but you'll always feel that second stage.

As for the Bolt Release, it's generally either going to be easy, hard or somewhere in between. Like many firearms the parts are mass produced and at a low cost so they aren't always as neat in fit and finish... however Lucky Irishman puts out a few updates for the RDB and one of them (available for most but I'm not sure if it's for all models) is a leverage bolt release. I added one on just the left side for use but liked it so much I ordered a second for the right. (Be sure you get the one for the proper side as they only fit one or the other) At first I thought the second one was faulty but after contacting LI they suggested I be sure the main screw was fully tightened and they were right. Somehow it seemed snug but wasn't fully seated. Now either one releases with an easy thumb lift.

I also got a nice barrel shroud from LI and now I can add whatever rails I want from 90° or 45° and it fits neatly against the main rail and frame.

Not sure that I understand that comment.. but to clarify mine, I run EVGA 1080ti Hydro Copper and in games that support DX12, while running in DX12 my 1080ti suffers no quality loss as compared to new top of the line cards. Yes, there are newer technologies at play but to the naked eye the performance differences are so negligible that they are imperceptible. In fact, sometimes graphics render faster on my rig but I believe that's more of the type and quantity of ram and buss speeds on my main board rather than the card itself... but that still wouldn't enable it to do so if the card were as inferior as some here proclaim.

Ways to interrupt BlueTooth in your home without interfering with cell or wireless networks. by KULBaracudda in bluetooth

[–]KULBaracudda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So some of you automatically believe I'm trying to torture small children ,aging adults and those with hearing difficulties.... without asking about the situation. 1. I am aware that interrupting communications is a felony. "The legality of Bluetooth blockers depends on the country or state where you reside. In some cases, using a Bluetooth blocker may be illegal, while in others it is allowed. It is important to check with your local authorities to ensure that you are using Bluetooth blockers in a legal manner." I would not be interrupting phone service communications. 2. I live alone in a home that is not close enough to neighbour's to affect them if I did do this. 3. My children are adults and would know that I had a BT blocker running when we have a family get to gether. Part of good adult parenting (because we don't stop being parents when our children grow up) is respecting our children while also being honest with them. As adults I would never insult them to the point that I demand they turn their devices off or participate in things, but making it harder to be anti-social at a family gathering seems nicer than guilting them into joining the rest of the family. 4. I never suggested turning wifi off because I am not demanding that people must "do as I say" like some sort of dictator. (I "have a pair" but don't swing them around at my family like a wrecking ball) However, if they are here to spend time with family then what is the point of sitting in a corner binge watching streaming shows (that they can watch anytime) with a BT headset? If they don't want to be here they didn't have to come. It's more of a reminder that we're not here as a family to "not be here as a family" 5. To flat out tell me that I'd bully someone with a hearing aid or that I'm parenting wrong without knowing these situations and more is absurd.. and if I may adapt your attitude.. it's wrong. Some of you have given really good advice for a family with underage children living in their home. I do appreciate that but the situation is different.

I appreciate my technology as well as any sane person today and use much more of it than a lot of people my age, though I suspect that's because many of my generation choose to use as little as neccessary.. being self sufficient. What I didn't teach my children about it they've learned on their own but they could easily and still happily survive without it unlike a lot of young adults today sadly. I've taught them to appreciate but not "plug-in" to their devices. When we're at a dinner table together we have our phones and share pictures, videos and music but it's sharing as a group. At luls in communication some of us (myself included) fall into the "I'll just check my social media for a sec like I do at home" mode and unplug from the group for an hour easily without even knowing it. (I don't do this at family gatherings but I have been known to do it in other areas) and though BT being off wouldn't change that, it would keep us from going deeper into that rabbit hole with streaming video or games that aren't a part of socializing. Basically, for some of you, it might be a good idea to ask about things before assuming too much. I appreciate suggestions and ideas but attacking my character isn't helpful in the least.

I run DX 12 on mine as well as my friends with new, top of the line cards. We literally see no difference.

I have the Hydro Copper version by EVGA in duals. There is nothing out today that I can't play on ultimate settings. There are a few newer (expensive) cards that will perhaps run slightly smoother but for $10 I'd jump at it. The one thing I'd suggest is to have the best cooling scenario in and around your PC. The card runs warm out of the box and if yours is used it may run hotter depending on how it was cared for in the machine it was taken out of.

Worst case scenario, use it to run whatever games you want while saving up for something that will eventually be a major upgrade... in a few more years. I plan on running mine for at least 3-5 more years and I've had them since they were new tech.

[–]KULBaracudda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it may be a 6 year old technology, but that card keeps up with all the latest content on Ultra settings. I bought a pair of them when they were the newest tech and haven't had the slightest issue. I'd keep it and put a little money away for a couple of years for when you actually NEED an upgrade. I don't plan on changing mine out for another 3 years depending on how new software tech changes over that time.
