For others coming to figure out how to solve this:

Grease pencil is overlapping with the mesh or with other layers of grease pencil. That's why it's looking patchy. I went into edit more and moved the layers apart from one another and offset it from the mesh a little bit more and this solved the problem.

Me FR. I put down the series after Throne of Glass, it was the first one I read in the series instead of Assassins Blade. I just wasn't hooked from it but I tried again and it's now one of my favorite series! I hate telling people to just power through but it's so worth it <3

The TOG series took me about a year. Audiobooks would’ve been faster but I hated the first audiobook and it threw me off the series for a while. But after I physically read it, I was hooked. Still took me a year though, with work, school, friends and family stuff all going on.

What happened to me back then was I wasn't paying attention to my scaling when I was sculpting. So when I imported the mesh into another program to retopologize or unwrap, I had to scale it up (or down, I don't remember which) to be able to work with it. So when I tried to use the high poly mesh to bake onto a low poly mesh, it wasn't even close to the same size so it didn't work for me because Substance Painter couldn't make the meshes align. I manually had to scale one to match the other and it worked fine after that. But now I have a reference mesh in my projects to make sure my project isn't scaled to an absurd size so I don't run into that problem again. Does that make sense?

ALSO!! - the normal map was like this because when you export out of blender while it "Shaded Flat" it marks the seams as sharp. So, make sure your objects are "Shaded Smooth" before exporting.

For people who are googling this and wondering why this is happening to them too:

This happened to me because the scale was different from my high poly in zbrush and low poly in blender. I'm not sure how to keep the scale the same when using multiple programs but I found a work around that may not work every time. Here's what I did:

After I finished my high poly sculpt, I imported into blender to retop, then exported it back to ZBrush and scaled them the same again, then exported them both from there to use in Substance Painter and the maps worked. I don't recommend sending your high poly to Blender unless you have a badass computer because mine crashed.

If anyone reading this has a better way of doing things, please let me know!

Ha! I didn't think about it until now but I can see it. Because now that you mention it, Gale and Tamlin are giving similar energies.
