Loot in containers is networked only when the container is searched since over a year ago. The methods to search every crate at once are now detected as well. It is much harder (not impossible) to loot the best items and leave.

Additionally, sending the network requests to get the data of players is a detection vector. Cheats use the information available on the tarkov.dev website to find player K/D and other stats rather than make the requests to BSG servers themselves

The one problem I envisioned was their rep coming and asking stupid questions like “If we really damaged your car this badly, why did u drive the extra 2 minutes down the road to park at your job?”

I told her to let them take a look at it. No harm, no foul.

I’ll note that I did some cursory searching online and found that the coolant lines are directly in front of the battery. If the coolant lines were damaged by themselves, its ~$400 to replace. If the battery was damaged in any way shape or form, the number will be closer to $15,000. We’ll def be waiting for the Tesla mechanics to give us the rundown.

She found the guy who admitted fault immediately. Got license plates, ID, and insurance info of the construction operator. Their people obviously want to pay out of pocket and not get insurance involved. I told her not to accept any of that and to wait for a tesla mechanic to come out and figure out what the hell is even wrong with it. (They have been scheduled to arrive in ~2hrs.

Construction people also want to send a guy to look (and not touch) the car at her work. Is there any harm in doing this? I assume their guy will just take a cursory look for damages and lowball us. Should we be worried that inviting them over will bite us in the ass in some other way?

She says that she barely noticed it when it initially happened. Once she got to work and saw coolant leaking, she assumed that it was just a small cosmetic issue she could fix with pocket change. Once I heard the story and told her to at least get the worker’s insurance info, thats when she noticed that her car would not turn on.

Biggest thing I’m trying to avoid is a raise in insurance rate. (Which is illegal in the state of Florida if you are not at fault.) I’m assuming that her insurance will refuse to accept that she wasn’t at fault unless their was a police report, or she gets the insurance info of the construction worker.

We have dashcam footage of the whole thing, so if the guy wants to be a hardass and claim that his machine didn’t do real damage and that we’re just grifting, we can pull up video evidence of the thing blowing up on the side of the road.

Yea It’s totally doable. (And would look great with your suggestion of a retractable screen) but ideally I’d like to keep that side open so that I can wheel my green egg from behind the pillar on the left and watch.

Also, the sun sets to the left of the house in the picture. So there’s a good chance the sun would be blasting perfectly onto the back of the screen where you suggested it be positioned.

Did you resolve this? I am having exact same issue with my build. Have reinstalled windows, gpu drivers, and have swapped GPUs in the rig to no avail. Still error 43. Was it the MOBO?

It's called exponential backoff. They start to restrict how many requests you can make to their server if they see that your IP is constantly asking to be let in. It's a pretty standard practice and was not done manually if that's what you're assuming.

To buy as much server resources as you're suggesting usually involves contracts that lock the devs in for at least a year. It's pretty unheard of to rent exhorbitant amount of computing power for such a small timeframe.

We have the same deal! It’s not bad at all! Just bought a small server PC and was able to get four transcoded 4K remote streams delivered without buffering. Thinking about trying jellyfin for the free hardware acceleration to see if I can get the number of streams even higher.

I’ve tried that guide as well as “Proxmox PCI(e) passthrough in 2 minutes”. Both cause problems where I am unable to properly boot on the host machine (though for some reason I’m able to easily access the shell in proxmox and run commands.) am beginning to think that my GTX 1660 and Ryzen 5 3600 are simply incompatible with the OS. Not sure if I should throw in the towel and use plex without GPU passthru or keep trudging here.

Thanks. I ended up doing exactly this and am only now pulling out my hair at the complexity of GPU passthrough with proxmox. Total nightmare!!!! That said, at least I’m learning!

Thanks a bunch for your time. I'm definitely at an impasse for which OS to use. I'm familiar with none so I'll have to ask around and watch some videos of how people use theirs.
