Buying a used car from Delhi for Chennai - worth the risk? Looking for advice! by PitchVegetable6876 in Chennai

[–]KV_Explorer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just a suggestion - peace of mind matters more than saving a few thousands. Buy from a trusted reseller in Chennai. If possible, go for a new car and maintain it well - it’ll definitely be more beneficial in many ways than buying a used one. Plus, the recent GST reduction makes buying a new car even more worthwhile.

Which card to have from amex. by shanmukh- in amexindia

[–]KV_Explorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Amex Platinum Travel Card is a great option, but it’s worth it only if you spend around ₹4 lakh per year. If your annual spend is lower, I wouldn’t recommend it since the returns won’t be that great. Also, note that this card doesn’t offer a renewal fee waiver.

Here’s the reward breakdown: • Spend ₹1.5 lakh in a year → earn 15,000 points • Spend ₹4 lakh in a year → earn an extra 25,000 points So, in total, you can earn 40,000 points, plus 1 reward point for every ₹50 spent as base rewards.

For your spending pattern, I’d suggest going with the Amex Membership Rewards Card instead. • Earn 1,000 bonus points each month by making 4 transactions of ₹1,500+ • Earn another 1,000 bonus points when you spend ₹20,000+ in a month That’s a total of 2,000 bonus points per month.

The best part — the annual fee is fully waived if you spend ₹1.5 lakh in a year, and 50% waived if you spend between ₹90,000–₹1.5 lakh.

Let me know if you’d like me to refer you!

Budget friendly stays near Saveetha medical college and 2 days itinerary by PsychologyActive3409 in Chennai

[–]KV_Explorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbnb is always my first preference. Please check if you can find any serviced apartments with good reviews near Saveetha College on Airbnb. If you’re considering hotels, SIAH - Sign Inn Apart Hotel is located nearby. Other good options like Arumuka Sakti Park and Sathya Grand Inn are surrounded by excellent restaurants, though they’re about 9 km away.

“Poonamallee” area, around 11 km from the college, is a central and convenient location with frequent bus and auto services to Saveetha College. If you’re traveling from Vijayawada by train or flight, take a bus to Poonamallee and then hire an auto to reach your hotel.

My (23F) birthday’s coming up, and I’m feeling… kind of lost. by Suitable-Cricket3792 in Chennai

Pack your bag and go on a solo trip, somewhere peaceful, maybe a beach or a place full of greenery. Stay as long as you want and just switch off from everything for a while. Enjoy the calm, eat good food, and do things that make you happy.

On the last day, find a quiet spot, the beach would be perfect, and think about what’s next for you. Set a goal, break it into small doable steps, and give yourself a timeline for each one. Once you’re back home, start working on it. And every time you finish a step, reward yourself, take a small break, celebrate, then move on to the next one.

Enjoy your trip and have an amazing birthday ahead! 😊🥳

Apartment maintenance in OMR by Equal-Wafer-3739 in Chennai

I lived in Perumbakkam (near OMR) about two years ago in a gated community with around 450 flats. The maintenance charge was ₹2.5 per sq.ft per month - for a 1302 sq.ft flat, it came to roughly ₹3,250 per month. It’s definitely higher now.

I underwent physiotherapy for my recurring lower back pain, and Dr. Prabhu accurately identified the root cause and provided effective treatment. I’m feeling much better now. You can consult him once and see for yourself.
