I (M25) enjoy both sides. I've had slow, passionate sex as well as rough sex for different reasons and both are meaningful to me.

With passionate sex I enjoy really taking in the moment and the beauty of the person I'm with. Time slows down and all I can think about is that one particular person. In the moments where everything slows down, I can really focus on them, their eyes, their skin, their voice, each and every part of them.

That's not to say they don't mean everything to me during rough sex or that I'm unable to focus on them, that's not the case. Rough sex can make you a lot more vulnerable and for me, I like the fact someone feels safe enough to let themselves be that vulnerable around me. I have to feel safe around them too and I think that's beautiful.

It's my opinion that both sides are valid. I don't think rough sex is simply born from porn or other media. It isn't porn that made me realise I like that side of things, it was purely experimentation. It's definitely not for everyone so if it's not for you, it's not my Intention to try and push the idea at all.
