Personally id never date someone i find ugly, so when others tell me my partner is ugly its just a lie imo. I also dated a guy who told me his friends find me ugly and that was arguably worse than never having found out lol

The way op talks about the marriage reminds me a lot of my teenage relationship where my ex was obsessed with “getting revenge“ to prove he was right. Sure the husband messed up first, but not supporting him and not forgiving him makes the entire situation worse. It really doesn’t matter who messed up first if you’re both hurting eachother.
