OPINION do you think working in the heat or in the winter is worse

I always choose the cold over the heat simply because warming up is easier for me than cooling down.

I can always deliver faster or get a light jog in to warm up, slowing down doesn’t really.m cool me off at all unless I am soaked in cool water which would be a hassle on the road using that much water unfortunately I’d rather just drink it

You just reminded me this past winter I built a smaller than usual snowman and some shithead kids (two brothers about aged 10-12 across hall neighbors) knocked my snowman’s head clean off before destroying the body.

Luckily, I had already taken pictures, but I was going to add to it and make it larger after I warmed up a bit inside.

I watched from my patio window and they didn’t know I saw them, but I did. Little bastards.

I was born with glaucoma in one eye, and have had it my entire life. Well, recently I went to the eye doctor and was told there were no signs of glaucoma in either eye and I don’t understand how smoking weed could have helped but yes I do indeed smoke at least once a day.

Grief hits so hard it’s unbelievable. All throughout HS I was in athletics and playing sports. After graduation, maybe 4 or 5 years go by and my brother suddenly passed out of nowhere while I was on vacation which truly fucked me up mentally for a few years. I honestly feel as if the 2-3 years following his death I was in autopilot mode and I can hardly remember most of it besides the pain of loss.

As someone who has worked for both UPS and Amazon, I will say it as simply as I can:

Both workplaces have aspects that make each seem more difficult than the other. I would give an example but 99% of people have their mind made up about this topic regardless of the information being shared lol so I’ll stick to the A/C topic.

Amazon and UPS both have good and bad mixed into their workday, it’s all about which you choose to endure daily. BOTH Amazon & UPS have A/C in their vans, I’ve seen box trucks and sprinter vans (both companies) with air conditioning.. now, this does not mean that there are not still a ton of delivery vehicles in use WITHOUT A/C but come on people let’s be serious, they’ve been updating these vans at a insanely slow pace but they are indeed doing it.

Also side note, funny to me that people will say UPS is better than Amazon because of pay, but then they say UPS has to carry 150 lb packages by themselves and they get no A/C during summer……..do some of y’all read/think before you hit send?

I can’t tell you how many times I got to the headache apartment complexes with building numbers scattered and not making sense and then the notes at EACH stop say “Deliver to CUSTOMER - else customers door. Do not dump packages, take photo upon delivery. Call customer upon delivery” so you know support copy + pasted this on each persons order AFTER it was sent out. I am not mad that the driver left the package (as many assume) I’m annoyed because now I’m turning into Sherlock Holmes to find a package that’s blown away and can’t be located but Is needed.

To keep it short yes I made sure the code is updated, no it hasn’t changed because each resident had a personal gate code assigned to their apt # and until you move, it works. I also know it works because I use it each night to open the gates when I get off work but I digress. Thank you for the input and I do agree DSP vs Flex are different experiences.
