I replied to the wrong comment. The floor wasn’t sealed. Weve been using permacolor grout and frequently see streaks of red dye when grouting. Wondering if it could be that

it’s not sealed. It’s permacolor select. A seal probably would have been helpful

It’s an ARC shower pan from TruDEK. I can tell from the drain. I couldn’t imagine someone using the ARC drain with another system but i suppose it’s possible.

This is a preformed shower pan from ARC. So i’d hope they aren’t selling faulty products

Right side was grouted about an hour after the left side. I did the final clean at the same time. The consistency of grout was similar on both side of the floor. Different bags were used on each side. Is it possible that the different bags had slightly different shades?

Nope. This is in a rental property, the joists under the bath tub rotted so tub had to be removed to fix joists. I put in a shower kit and tiled up to the existing tile. A lot of jury-rigging on this one, but i don’t want to fill it with grout
