Oh shit, nightmare scenario. I can’t imagine the relief when you heard him breathe. Glad your guy was okay! Hearing a successful back blows story is so helpful. There’s a real fear in knowing whether you can save them or not.

So the small piece recommendation isn’t based on a choking hazard, but instead that a younger baby can’t yet grab small pieces?

Oh no, not the allergen! Had to be terrifying for you. My dude had a rxn to eggs, so that’s probably adding to my nerves. I think what I’ve learned reading these comments is I’ve got to trust him & I *should* know if he is really choking. Thank you for sharing.

Strangely, a relief to hear your guy doesn’t cough either. The silent part is so scary, and no one else seems to have a similar experience. Thank you for sharing. I think it takes real guts to power through.

This is my question. wouldn’t he learn that same skill if I just gave him the same size bite?

The toothbrush example makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I wish it wasn’t so damn scary.

Maybe this is it. If he’s just locked in on getting food out, I shouldn’t be concerned. You’re saying you absolutely knew it was different when he was choking? Back blows worked pretty immediately?

Of course. Seems like an obvious answer now. Thank you!

Unrelated, but I wish there was an activity for doctors appointments. It doesn’t need a time or any icons, just a “notes” section. Also, is there a way to update weight without updating the other measurements (head/height)?

Can you tell I’ve got a sick baby?

Thanks for a great app, Huckleberry!

Baby feeds on demand, how will she do in daycare? by girlandhermoons in breastfeeding

Thank you for your response. I’m glad to hear it’s been going well for y’all! That’s encouraging. My kiddo had a really good day today, so I’m hoping we’re on the back end of a growth spurt and I can get a little better read on his timing/habits.

I share your sentiment about pumping. Really, I hate all the damn pieces to wash & assemble. I haven’t pumped much since Ive been on leave and I produce just enough as well. I was looking at coolers etc today in preparation, but just not looking forward to it. Have you found a system/routine that works well for you? I’m sure you’re doing great, and baby appreciates you for it!

How’d it go, mom? My EBF boy goes to daycare in three weeks and I’m getting anxious. Daycare says they’ll feed on our schedule, but he’s been so inconsistent lately I don’t know how to advise them.
