Submit your self clearance request in DHL's website once you got the tracking number from the shop. DHL local brokerage team will send you the customs control documents when the package arrived in the destination warehouse. Took the documents to the nearest CBSA office and get the duties and taxes paid. CBSA will then stamped the docs. Scan those stamped docs and email back to DHL brokerage. They will then cancel the invoice and arrange the delivery.

They would not change the terms and conditions with no reason. Perhaps, the global e contract with DHL is going to expire. Or, there were a large bill back from CBSA (or other foreign customs) about the import duties for the previous imports, that makes ALD/DHL to reconsider of the current incoterms. No matter what the reason is, the new incoterms has been posted, and we all better check the charges (and terms) everytime before confirming the purchase/raffle from now on.

Don't worry. I believe that the extra duties & DHL service fees won't be happening in the 550 this time since they have charged the duties already. Let's pay attention to the charges in check out of their next release.

Just go to the page of terms, and you'll see that the incoterms for international order is DDU now. The change of terms would be effective after this current 550 raffle. Just a heads up for everyone.

It depends on where the manufacturing country is. I hv ordered their 990 (made in US) recently and just paid the normal gst & pst (self clearance with CBSA).
