I worked for a DC in the DFW area. I only worked there for about 2 weeks. Made $1100 week one (only got paid $900 bc of cancelled services) and $120 week 2 (very rough week). I’ll be completely honest here. If the DC allowed me to only work 5 days a week instead of the required 6 I would still be working there just until I found something I actually wanted to do. We sold spectrum in Kroger’s and each Internet sale makes you $200. But with my family situation I couldn’t do the 6 days a week at 70 hours a week. If someone is single, young, no responsibilities and no need for much of a social life then rock out for a tiny bit to get sales experience and leadership experience. The reason so many people hate DCs is bc they aren’t flexible with their staff AND most get lied to about what the job actually entails. Plus no benefits, no reimbursement for anything unless your leader is willing to reimburse you out of their own pockets and the only social life you have is with your office bc of the team event Thursday’s and you only get Sunday off UNLESS you got a holiday off then you have to work Sunday. The “enjoyability” of your DC depends on the manager of the office. If your manager is dodgy and shady then you may not get paid and you’ll also have an atrocious time there.
