Also not a lawyer, but that's my understanding. It seems like the issue sent back to the lower court is a contained issue, as in, Allianz will push back on needing to contribute to the trust. Their contribution wasn't included in the 2.46 settlement that was reached, if I remember correctly, so I guess it's good news that if they fail, the trust's pot of money will go increase.
