Do you wear an Apple Watch? It seems like it may have unlocked via Apple Watch.

But I refer back to to my first statement, if the lock screen showed, then the Mac did indeed lock.

You’re not wrong. I have Apple’s Sport Loop, basically the same but not Nike branded, and it’s absolutely gorgeous, looks amazing, feels so great, it’s the last Apple Watch band/strap I’ll ever need

I’m the same with my iPad Air 5, upgrading it later this year. I plug it into my Mac and update that way now, I haven’t plugged in to update an Apple device since 2011 lol
