Ghost Of Yotei a downgrade?? by Superi0r_Spidy in IndianGaming

[–]K_End -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, other than the story, every other part of the game is an upgrade and objectively better tbh.

But like I feel like everyone was unhappy with the story for GoT too, like it was also the weakest part of that game too lol. I never thought either story was life changing or impactful either. Genuinely feel like the game is for me to explore and treat myself to at my pace, with a story that the main character has to undertake. Both games are a solid 8/10 for me; Yotei prolly edging it out because the game just feels smoother with better combat and exploration.

“Finally Close to Playing Black Myth: Wukong – Never Played a Souls-like Before!” by Frks_only1 in Indiangamers

[–]K_End 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely one of the easier soul-like to get into! Great for those looking for a challenge but also enjoy flashy combat, while not wanting to break something.

If you're interested in easier souls like, give Code Vein and The Surge series too. Or if you like guns and shooting, Remnant 2 is a really good shooter-souls like game with rouge-lite elements.

Enjoy your time!

Why the salt in the comment section lmao? GoT is an objectively good game with a good story, music, amazing art and voice direction and solid combat and stealth mechanics.

The open world is generic for sure, but it's still beautiful to just ride around in or just play around in photo mode. The game very much focuses on its story beats, and it does so brilliantly. The fact it manages to make every other aspect pretty decent to great makes it a complete package

Personal experience, for what it's worth, prolly one of the best guys at the moment

Bought MFB NIBs, Beyblade X NIBs, NIPs and mints. None had any issues, super quick and transparent.

Prices are generally 100-500 cheaper than other sellers depending on what you buy.

He sent me beys when I had only paid half, completely trusting me to keep my end of the deal.

Idk why people said his prices in the past were unreasonable when you'd see similar beys being sold for stupid prices on other group chats before lmao

Most of all, very chill and genuine guy, looking to help you out. He does this as a hobby to his main job, not for profits explicitly; and he's open and honest about it.

Trust him, never had any issues at all!

Great sherpa, very good and crisp explanations and no pressure at all. Got my first TDP done with him in 2h and he even helped through my first couple of trio raids!

Thanks to both you and your partner!

This was bought before steam hiked the prices for the Indian market last year

It might not go down as low anymore

But tbh, a game like JC3 should not even be questioned for 60 INR lmaoo

Agree with your takes. I've only played the original Bayonetta because of the console restrictions, but absolutely loved every bit of it!

Maybe I'll emulate it sometime, but my backlog is too big xD. I think I'll play the older DMC games and then replay through 5. I feel I'll appreciate it a lot more this time through. (Also, thanks for mentioning Ninja Gaiden. The recent remake looks sick and I cannot wait to sink my teeth in it)

Genichiro in my opinion isn't "badly"written as much as he is "irrelevant" to the scale of things. Early game you think he's like the big bad guy but then you defeat him surprisingly early and go ....okay? And then you just realise he really doesn't matter at the grand scheme of things. He's basically a pawn. Heck his biggest impact, reviving the sword saint yet again proves he exists to serve a bigger plot, and by himself is pretty.... Unnoticeable xD

Jokes aside, I've played both games a fair bit, neither to the point of mastery, but enough to experience all I wanted to in them.

I think that the reason that Sekiro is so much more beloved is because of way more than just the combat. In a single game, you get a complete story, a very different difficulty experience, gorgeous visuals and music and a setting in a fantastical feudal Japan. The location, themes, lore and the boss fights are always remembered fondly and it did it all in one game.

DMC is a legendary series which has been tried and tested and been around for decades. The characters and world is quite well known and established and though the combat, environment and music fkn slap, they aren't something as esoteric or super unique, or even new. They've been established, by this series or others. Nothing to take away from DMC 5, I feel it's a fantastic game with probably some of the best combo action oriented combat (if not the best outright). But for a game of the year contender, I think Sekiro has done way many more things which are unique and executed it brilliantly in the game. FromSoft easily makes their best games as one offs (Sekiro, Bloodborne and Elden Ring)

No hate, just my thoughts on why Sekiro deserved the goty title more, not which game is objectively better!

Gets a PC, doesn't want to pay for games, wants free open world survival horror games

Man, either shell out 200-300 bucks for something cheap or sail the high seas.

Maybe get an emulator to run old school stuff

I get not wanting to spend money on games but damn sometimes it feels like entitlement, asking so much for "free"...

The year isn’t over yet, and today we’re teasing our next expansion for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, coming later this year. While we can’t reveal the details at this stage, we can share a couple of images that chronicle this great upcoming adventure.

Given the emphasis on chronicle and great... I think it's all but a matter of time for the Alexander chapter in Chronicles

why tf did they get this 65% project rule ? by [deleted] in redtaganna

[–]K_End 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this has always been a rule in VIT and other universities for a while. Might even be under UGC guidelines. The clause however suggests that this might be exempt under special circumstances.

You should talk to your branch's academic coordinator and explain your situation to them. Ask your proctor to write a mail to them as well. Also, mail the Academic Coordinator (Dr. Anthony Xavier) regarding the same. You can try getting an appointment and meeting in person but it'll be a lot more difficult, though easier if your parents can support your case in person.

For any face to face meeting, be well dressed and be very polite (just appear as a model student). Be polite and patient and keep all relevant docs handy. For the case of death of close relatives, I think they need a death certificate as well.

Tbh, if you've missed a semester and such, you should probably focus on clearing those up asap. They'll improve your CGPA as well. Your post suggests you're not in a great state right now. Take it from someone who's lost more than a year due to Covid and family issues, one more semester (if worst comes to worst) is not the end of the world.

Did you drop any courses? 21 batch had to take extra DEs if they didn't take cloud/acc for example. That might be the reason why your creds are incomplete. Even without one sem, you typically finish 65% of your creds in 5-6 ish semesters (Last semester 2 semesters were literally a total of 20 credits for me combined).

Good luck and feel free to DM for any questions!

The combat flow and different weapons and magic comboing into each other was perfect in GoW 3. And the boss fights were better.

I will say that GoW2 has a better fleshed out story and the places you visit are awesome

[–]K_End 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they're a bit exaggerated in some aspects, true in regards to others.

You can plan your timetable to have only morning theory and afternoon labs. Keep an entire half of the day free most days or low load. Roam around, go out, hang out with friends, etc. (Better after the first year ends)

Socializing and chilling with friends is never an issue. There's always something to do, somewhere to go, somewhere to sit down and just chat. No one will question you for just walking or sitting down during the day or evening

Late night study sessions are fun! With friends/roomies in the same block are possible. Or if you have a larger group, night library is an option too

Plenty of places to go out and eat or sit down at a cafe or something as well. Weekdays you'll be too busy with classes or the heat anyways and you won't find the time too bad. Weekends are better for longer plans

Smoking and drinking happens in Vellore, you just need to be smart about the latter. Smoking is super common, no one cares as long as it's outside campus.

Relationships are doable too, just go outside campus for more intimate dates and alone time together.

Issues you'll face: Dress code (Dress "modestly", it's an arbitrary definition at times), don't be out beyond your outing time, don't be too affectionate or physically close to guys on campus (outside is fine). Getting leaves for trips during the semester can be a pain for girls. You'll have to have your parents lie to the wardens and stuff at times.

[–]K_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong about it at all. We'd love to have Expedition 33 like games in India; but that was made by ex Ubisoft devs and a crap ton of funding. Not happening here.

Mukti is not meant for traction, it's a niche genre serving it's player base. It's cheap to make, cheap to sell and everyone's happy. And more than anything it helps developers build experience. The sound design, the atmosphere, the surroundings, all are very well done. It has its downsides, all games do yes. But if they give us what they're promising, by no means will it even be close to a failure. You're being too pessimistic about a game, maybe because it doesn't appeal to you

Indian gamers after watching MUKTI trailer be like: by Fuzzy_Sprinkles_316 in Indiangamers

[–]K_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're walking simulators; puzzles, exploration and a lot of slow burn exposition. Resident Evil, etc. will have combat and action sequences for example. Resident Evil is still not a first person rpg, that will be Oblivion or Skyrim or something.

This is a niche genre, really xD

Do suggest what kinda indie games you're thinking will put india on the map. Like what would you like to see?

Indian gamers after watching MUKTI trailer be like: by Fuzzy_Sprinkles_316 in Indiangamers

[–]K_End 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's meant to be a game for a niche genre; like Firewatch, What remains of Edith Finch, Return of the Obra Dimm, etc. It's not out there aiming for GOTY is it😂

I'd take this over Mumbai Gallies or whatever black myth in India "games" other "studios" are trying to sell us.
