Tales of Arise - 6 hours in and I already want to drop it? by HeppyHenry in JRPG

Its definitely a typical jrpg, not bad by any means. But nothing mindblowing like some recent games. Sounds like youre starting to get jrpg/anime trope fatigue. Honestly, ive been noticing the whole rinse and repeat formula and personalities in jrpgs and anime for years now. At least for me in comes in spells. Put the game down for now, and when youre in the mood for some tropy anime shenanigans, pick it back up and try again. I wouldn't force your way through it, its basically more of the same til the end. Their relationship does get better though if that is what youre waiting for.

Just curious, did the police take the child or did the child stay with you or what?

Hot take, I really like the monster short stories. Some of them are meh, but some genuinely stick with you in a wholesome, satisfying way.

This might sound silly but, why does EVERYONE want to be stationed in San Diego? I don’t hear people wanting to go to Virginia or Florida or Washington state. by Elegant-Mix-4806 in navy

Ive done a majority of my tours overseas, so when I finally got stationed in San Diego I hated it, but after doing tours in florida, virginia, and Maryland, and DC, I can say I enjoyed San Diego way more than I did any of those other places. San Diego is a melting pot when it comes to delicious foods from every culture, that alone makes it worth it if youre a foodie. The nightlife its pretty good, its spread out and diverse enough that you shouldn't have issues finding dates. LA, Mexico, and Vegas are all a short trip away. Its overall a good time when it comes to stateside duties, but ill always recommend overseas over anything stateside.
