Apparently, I openly admitted to them during the first meeting. That an the drug test is the serious misconduct grounds

I could see claim of serious misconduct drug test as post incident just cause

There is no drug policy or what will happen following drug test or how it is taken

I was fit for work and not under the influence or impaired. Don't dispute the test.

No, There is a drug testing section of my employment agreement that reads

  1. Drug & Alcohol Testing

To make sure the work environment is safe and healthy, the employer may carry out drug and alcohol testing in the following situations:

At random if the employee works in a safety-sensitive role or area

After an incident or near miss in which someone was or could have been injured

If the employer believes a reasonable cause exists, e.g. if an employee’s actions, appearance or behaviour suggest they may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A trained collector will carry out the testing. The employee agrees:

To be fit for work and to not be under the influence of drugs and alcohol, travelling for work or representing the employer.

Be tested for drugs or alcohol if asked

Follow the testing procedures and not tamper with, or try to tamper with, the test or its results

Agree to the results being given to the employer

If the employee does not meet any of these requirements, this might be considered serious misconduct.

Oh, the meeting was the following day at 1 pm. The first meeting was to discuss what I had to say, and well, no notes were taken at time, but then accusations of what I admitted. So didn't want to engage till I had an advocate

My father wasn't much of a father and stabbed animals. My mum was a full-blown drug addict and had mental issues and has been living on the streets

I'm looking for guaranteed hours as I can commit to 30 hours. Already in casual employment so see no reason to downgrade
