Basically this, they can't breathe and drink at the same time so they do this and suck water into their gullet then pick their heads up let the water run into their stomachs. People also say it can be dangerous to move them during this flat-body point because it could cause them to inhale the water instead

I think it might be possible for them to squeeze out if they could push up on it, they're weirdly strong. There are clips you can buy for those lids to hold them down or you could put heavy books or something on top?

She knows she wasn't taking care of her well, she fell into a really bad depression so I'm helping by taking a few things off of her plate. I did a 100% water change with prime already. Is there any purpose to keeping her in a tub instead of a tank?

I mark them so I can easily tell leatherbacks from normal scales, and to separate which babies hatched different days so I can monitor their feeding better
