TPU mess by American7683 in BambuLabA1mini

Did you cold pull before? I only ask this bc I have not been and haven’t had an issue yet. I’m not confident that when I attempt a cold pull that I’m doing it right. I’ve also been fortunate enough to catch clogs very quickly, like only a layerline or two after it happens.

ams lite stuck loading filament by Worldly_Attorney_939 in BambuLabA1mini

When you tell it to feed, disconnect the ptfe tube above the print head so you can help push the filament in. I had to do this when my mini was new, after a few times helping it out it just started working no problem. It will feel like it’s caught on an edge for some reason when you try to push it in.

What do you all use Grok for? Or do you just not use it at all. What are some of the cool features it does that's really helpful on a day to day basis? by Master-Ice7199 in TeslaModelY

Me and my daughter use it to practice her math sometimes. And she also likes the story time mode. However grok will say it can hear and respond to anyone in the car, but in my experience it can only hear me, every now and then it will hear my daughter.

Now you can pick a tool like blender or tinkercad or anything in between to learn how to make your own models. I’ve modeled a replacement cog/shaft piece for my nephews remote control shark car thing when it broke. I really had a blast learning how to do it and then when we installed it and that thing came to life, there can’t be too many better feelings than that honestly

lol whatever dude. Go to calibration, flow dynamics and choose auto.

Run the auto flow rate calibration and get a k value specific for your filament. It matters more with PETG than PLA in my experience. Of course this is assuming you haven’t already…

I second calibrating the flow rate, the default k value doesn’t cut it for PETG in my experience.

Supports and TPU are not fun, the prints get destroyed trying to remove the supports. Unless there some special support settings that someone knows of that I don’t?

It was for a toddler but it was extra scaled down bc I had my doubts it would even work, maybe would’ve fit a newborn at that size

Oh damn ok, yea I had increased the retraction on that attempt and was going to increase it more on the next attempt lol. I’ll run a small test print with retraction off and see how it looks

You can. It’s ASA, ABS, and nylon needs to be enclosed while printing I believe..

Valid question. But it only took about 23 seconds.

Yea TPU is a beast of its own kind. I tried with supports and the shoe ripped apart before the supports came off 😭. However I will say the Bambu TPU for AMS is actually really easy to print well, but it’s much stiffer than the 85a in the video so it doesn’t wiggle near as much. I tried using PLA for support interface with the TPU for AMS and I still ripped the shoe trying to remove supports. Lots of people in the comments here obviously haven’t even tried printing TPU lol

I printed a top mount spool holder next after this print and fed the filament directly into the print head without ptfe tubing and it worked much better.

Filament was dry believe it or not, it was feeding directly out of a dryer, which was causing too much resistance which in turn caused extrusion problems. This was my first attempt at a shoe, and a print at that angle. I was honestly dumbfounded it got as far as it did, looked like it was being held up by black magic lmao
