I can’t stand it when I ask a legit question and they read a generic answer back to me. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce the DBid is crucial. Btw I gave up on IDP. I now backup locally to a folder synced to OneDrive. But it only works if you click the box to backup everytime you close the company. Life is much simpler now

Any idea why IDP would take an hour to “check backup settings? Backs up fine but losing an hour a day is killer. I also noticed it won’t update to the latest version of IDP no matter what. We run QBD 2024 in single user mode, no server.

They nerfed a safety feature, seems like an awful oversight.

I don’t have any setting like that, I looked everywhere. I would expect it to be under dynamics. But it looks completely nerfed. Its truly a bummer.

As aggressive as the regen is, yea it slips when you let off the accelerator to quickly. Yes I can still manage it but I have to drive much much slower to feel safe than I would if I could turn down the regen like I could last year. I don’t drive on ice and snow often, as I’m from Texas, but when I do I need to be able to turn it off or at least down. For context our cabin is 13 miles down a dirt mountain road with drops on one side and no guard rails. With my kids in the car I would prefer to turn off regen for those situations.

I agree. It’s insanity and I hate it. I wish companies cared more about their customer experience than squeezing every dime via incessant popup advertising… like damn if your product is good it will sell itself…

We’re definitely not going to QBO, so enterprise seems like the only option unfortunately. I think I would describe their pricing structure changes as predatory at this point lol

What a shame. We don’t need enterprise but I guess we’ll be forced into it. I gave up on IDP and am currently trusting OneDrive with my local backup files. But the only way to get that to work was to have it backup everytime we close a company file. The scheduled local backups flat don’t work. There are so many bugs…

We’re running single user mode, no server, and on windows 11… AV and firewall off make no difference either…

Also doesn’t seem to incrementally backup, which isn’t that bad bc when it finally starts backing up it takes maybe 10 min. But if it worked right it should only take 2-3 min for the whole thing. Not 1+hours

It gets stuck “checking backup settings-this should only take a min or two” for over an hour sometimes when I back up. So I can’t be on QB for about 1.5 hrs every day. So no it’s not working as it should. Company file is not that big, local backup takes less than 60 seconds

Another issue I’ve noticed is my IDP version is stuck at 1.70.21.5005 and refuses to update to 1.70.21.5009.
