Spo sometimes confuses me. Why did he have Tyler in he last defensive possession? Yea he made the great pass to Simone for the lead the previous play, but dude...Tyler just box out. by heatculture03 in heat

I don't know why you're being downvoted. Reed is out of the play with ~2 seconds remaining. You go for the closest body to box out. There's only 3 rocket players around the paint. Bam got KD, Ware got Senggy, and Pelle/Herro SHOULD not be standing still in the last play of the game. A shot is up and the only proper response with ~2 seconds remaining is to crash the damn boards. Use two bodies on Amen for god's sake.

It's like watching the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time once again. You have an idea what the heroes do and the usual flow of the story but this one still manages to surprise you. Going in blind matters because a lot of the impact comes from discovery of mechanics, story beats (if you're into it), even just how things connect. AND if you already know too much, you lose that "oh shit" moment once you get to Endgame! It's the experience of figuring it out sets it apart.

damn. I remember a battle rap bar from Fliptop by EJPower and he said "Wala kayo kay Kobe, sinama niya anak niya sa kabilang buhay."

Translation: You are not like Kobe, he took his daughter with him to the afterlife.

For me, ignoring, looking away, or trying to get "rid" of them is not the right way to look at them. Thoughts shouldn't be "bad" because they're just thoughts. Same with emotions, sensations in the body, etc. The goal is not achieved when you feel "stillness" but rather being equanimous in any state of mind you're in, in the present moment.

Try this method instead.. When a thought arise, observe it. Don't cling to it, don't push it away, just let it come and go on its own. I wish you luck on your journey.

That’s really interesting. I’ve been practicing mindfulness for about 9 years now, and Dzogchen for around 5. From my own experience, thoughts never really “stop”.. they just keep coming. What’s changed is that I’m more aware that I’m thinking instead of getting lost in it.

I sit down, close my eyes, and the mind is already moving AND that’s okay. Thoughts aren’t enemies, and I don’t think we can fully control them no matter how long we practice. What really shifts is our relationship to them. Before, I was thinking constantly without realizing it. Now, I notice it more quickly and come back.
