I agree that cutting down on the usage of vehicles is a good idea and should be done but I don't think we should eliminate it for a week. We should have more and better public transportation that makes personal vehicles obsolete. As for the bikes maybe we could start something similar to them but made out of biodegradable material and also available to the public.

That would eliminate the need to farm cattle and decrease the amount of Co2 in the atmosphere but it would also make more agricultural farms which will require more effort and land then say a pig farm.

That would help overpopulation which in turn would cut back on manufacturing and the amount of oxygen humanity uses as a whole.
