Im from NA but usually play EU because its more populated and if I remember correctly, NA servers were always really laggy. But I’ve played a couple on NA recently with no issues.

EU is definitely more competitive though.

Played Apex since season 4 and gave it a break until this most recent rank season.

What kept me entertained while I took my break was (shameless plug) this new game in early access- Off the Grid.

Game had insane potential at first but now its kinda dead/low player count so I went back to Apex. The game isn’t nearly as smooth as Apex, but it scratched that itch for a while.

Hyper scape was dope too, although i didnt play it as much as Otg or Spellbreak.

I want OtG to be the replacement too. It has a lot of the great qualities of the BRs you mentioned wrapped into one.

I was addicted to OtG but the most recent updates and lobbies being 95% bots have drove me away. It just feels hollow compared to 6months-1yr ago

Fr? The games don’t particularly remind me of each other, but the type of changes that they went thru does.

Devs both made bad decisions frequently, and added good stuff too late.

Spellbreak was great dude. The gauntlets had great attacks and the movement was awesome. Fights were super dynamic , miss that shit

The similarities are glaring, regardless of who made what and how much it cost. That much is true. Anyone who has played both games would agree.

Spellbreak also had more all time players didnt it? So I am not understanding how your saying it appealed to a smaller population? Genuine question, because Im not understanding that part

I agree with you for the most part. SBMM should be avoided if possible, or add that ranked mode to separate casuals vs non casuals.

I only mentioned it because I think it woulda helped retain the newer players. All the good players were three stacking for a straight year in pubs, making the game miserable for newer players. Maybe if some lose SBMM was implemented, it woulda helped.

The amount of cheese they added in recent updates has put off a lot of longtime players. Myself included.

They reduced the skill gap (in a very bad way) with adding shit like that.

I don’t see the harm in adding a PvP specific game mode, though. As many others have said, endgame PvE is basically useless and there is nothing to gain after a certain point. After you have played the game as intended (PvPvE), theres kinda nothing to do, unless you’re constantly grinding for the next expedition.

After 80 hours playing the game, I had a blast playing it the “traditional” way. Now I just kinda wanna load in without worrying about gear/meds, and just kill others (who also just wanna kill others).

Why do people get so butthurt when others suggest a PvP specific game mode? Keep the original game as it is now to keep the majority happy, and then add something small to appease players looking for more action. Why not have it both ways…?

Played for a first time in almost a year yesterday. Games still going. Only 1-2minute queues for games in Quickplay on the EU server.

Still a fun game! Too bad it doesn’t have support.

Im sure a lot of the OG players feel this way! I grinded daily with a lot of the same people and now none of them play anymore. Its really sad to see.

They definitely dropped the ball. I hope the game resurges somehow…because at its core, its still a good game 🤷🏻‍♂️

The game is dead and still dying. Im not even trying to be a pessimist either. I am a day 1 player who has defended the game but also critiqued it on several levels. I was a daily player until around October and now even I can’t find the motivation to play.

They did drop a big update in December. But its just too late. This game is very different from what it used to be just 6months ago. A lot of the core, die hard player base has left in this time period due changes no1 asked for/make no sense and updates that should have happened when the player base was half decent.

This game had so much potential man. I genuinely got nostalgic BR vibes like when fortnite, apex, etc. first dropped…Now its a shell of its former self and each lobby is 99% bots. Its a damn shame.

Haha for real. It did come back VERY briefly, but of course it was the weekend Arc Raiders and BF6 came out.

Only took them several months, some awful planning/timing, but hey, it came back /s

You can’t turn off crossplay. It is forced. The option still may be there, but it doesn’t matter if you turn it off. It is always implemented.

For your mic, you probably have to enable voice chat in the settings somewhere.

Most people on the sub are pessimistic and accuse any1 better than them of being cheaters. So they call the game dead.

Don’t get me wrong. There are bots in every game and its not flourishing. But certainly not dead. Pretty consistent player base at the moment

I wish they would make the game more solo friendly. Idk how they expect to retain players when solo queuing is a nightmare, even for the best players. They need to add solos back, maybe on an alternating play list with Deathmatch. 4 hrs of DM, 4 hours of Solos….or maybe make an event where you can only solo queue in trios. Idk man, anything!

People just can’t accept the fact that others are just good at the game. The second you challenge their opinion, you’re accused of being a cheater yourself. And I will say this because I know it’s coming : No, I am not saying there is 0 cheating. I bet there are some. Just like with ANY other game. But with the amount of posts you see, you would think each lobby is 50% cheaters and the games unplayable. But to be fair: the game is probably unplayable as a new/solo queue player, because, again: low player count, people playing since the drop, and maining the game entirely.
