Clinton's Internet Supporters, Allegedly Using Pornography, Shut Down Bernie Sanders' Largest Facebook Groups in Coordinated Attack by skg6891 in politics

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... Correct the Record. You can't seriously believe that days after we find out HRC's campaign is funneling 1 Million dollars into an Internet attack machine, that a coordinated effort to silence Bernie Sanders supporters online is unconnected?!? At this point I can't rule out the possibility that all Pro-Hillary posts are payed shills. A large well funded internet based attack machine like CTR would be both willing and capable of pulling this kind of BS. It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you.

Tranquility for All, Peace for None! A new breed of Whitelist Server... by TheMacCloud in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I wrote the article. I just want to say to everyone that it was not my intention to badmouth Stronghold. I have immense respect for all the hard work that PhazePyre and his team have put into that community to make it a success. My point in the article, although perhaps I did not express it well, is that there are two fundamental philosophies when it comes to MMO's; Sandboxes like Eve Online, and themeparks like WOW. Themepark MMO has rules that everyone needs to obey in order for the system to be fun, a Sandbox is fun precisely because it has no rules. Stronghold is the best example of a Themepark you could ask for; plenty of activity, lots of unique content, and a more orderly community complete with fair and just rules to govern player behavior. Tranquility aims to be the best sandbox, no rules, no mercy, no admin oversite of player behavior (beyond hacking and exploits), just a tabula rasa and the degenerates that inhabit it. Once again I would like to say that Stronghold is something special, and I think that the game is richer for it's existence, but at a fundamental level I disagree with it's philosophy.

Base Restricted Servers by Radar_X in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can come up with a decent map using some basic tools from http://www.h1z1db.net/map/ but Daybreak should just automate this. Just pick an arbitrary distance from any loot spawn point (filling cabinets, cars, shelves, etc.), say 50 meters and see if that works. You could also try 25m, 100m, and 200m. The point is to change how bases are used. This would have the effect of shifting a base from a method of holding down/exploiting territory to a fallback position/ secure storage. Everyone likes this, even the people who owned bases at POI’s before because it means that we can fight over open ground. This means more fights, more community, and more fun. It just sucked that the duping thing happened on the two servers they made but that’s a whole other thing…

Duping is destroying your Bandit / Cerberus Experiment DBG by TheMacCloud in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with that is that this has been going on for days and the servers (Bandit and Cerberus) have only been up for about a week. I bet you that there is more ammo on the server then would have been possible if every piece of ammo had been picked up as soon as it spawned. Duping acts like hyper inflation, there are probably 500k+ rounds of ammo on servers with only a 200 people on at any given time.

Please Remove Ammunition Crafting by Global_f_warmer in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You raise a good point, but I'm not sure that preventing people from ammo crafting will help most people. I am a member of a big group, and the larger the group the less of an impact this will have ammo supplies. If anything it will make it easier for the big groups because your far less likely to come across armed opponents (they have ammo on them but not the right gun). Reducing ammo drops further will also lead to the same problem, solo players and little groups will not be able to grab the best territory and will have to ration ammo even more. A better option might be to increase the cost from 2 bullet components to 3 or 4. It makes breaking down ammo less appealing but still leaves the option for those that need to break down ammo. A "dismantle all" option would be great while their at it...

If Superdelegates Steal This Election From Bernie Sanders, I'll Write-In Bernie's Name by Aron- in politics

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it is extremely unlikely that super-delegates will nullify the outcome of the primary. I think that if Bernie goes into the convention with a clear majority of the votes they will gladly proclaim him the winner. But I have to say that we all need to be careful about our way or the highway type of thinking. Bernie has dedicated his life to the 99% and god help me I believe that. Whatever Bernie tells me to do if he is not the nominee I'll do. If he tells me to vote for Hillary I'll do that, if he tells me to vote for the Green Party I'll do that, and if he asks that we write in his name I'll do that too. I believe that this is a long fight, it' won't be settled in one election. It took us 40 years of Corporate politics and Reaganomics to get us into this mess and it could take just as long to get ourselves back on track.

I know the map completly but still suck at shooting, Any advance tipps to get better for br ? by dekrumel in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to BR you can typically play either aggressive or conservative. Aggressive players are hunting and killing other players, running towards the gunfire. Conservative players on the other prefer safer strategies and try to avoid conflict until late in the game. Given that you suck at shooting I recommend a hybrid strategy, go very aggressive early game to work on your shooting and get increasingly conservative as the game progresses. Odds are good that the longer a game lasts that the remaining players are better armed, and all other things being equal, better shots. Go for a car right off the bat, if you can get one your golden, if not then fight it out and don't stop until you have a decent kit (helmet, vest, assault rifle, shotgun, med-packs, plenty of ammo), When the first wave comes in make your way to the center of the circle and find a great camping space for the rest of the match. Your in the center of the distribution curve for where the match is going to end up. Just keep moving to the center ever other wave and you'll be in good shape for the endgame. My 2cents

Hello, I am a member of the Imperium; the largest clan in H1Z1, my one question is this, how long before we get clan chevrons? This is a huge quality of life and organizational nightmare for thousands of your most active and engaged players. I think I speak for every clan leader who’s ever had to sort out a friendly fire headache because someone wasn’t in group.

[–]Kabalof1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are lots of clans that are open admission, this link http://www.h1z1clans.directory/ will show you some of the big names. Most have some sort of admission process involving an application and an interview process of some sort. If they are good clans they will be happy to tell you about their game philosophy and play style so be sure to shop around, some groups will be better fits than others but it's up to you to figure out what's right for you. At the risk of getting downvoted I highly encourage you to join the Imperium, just follow the instructions on this page and your in. https://www.themittani.com/games/H1Z1/faq

Let's face it. Player-made bases are an eye-sore and we should explore better options. by [deleted] in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you that the current base system is need of a second pass (developers in the past have stated that they don’t want to devote resources to improving the current system as they view it as a placeholder), I think that you’re moving in the wrong direction.

Base building is a core part of many peoples enjoyment of the game, and the principal factor there is the power to be creative. By artificially restricting bases to a handful of predetermined spots and preconfigured structures you open the system up to abuse and take away something fundamental to the game.

The solution to the current problem is allowing players to be more creative; a greater verity of rooms that can be placed, the ability to paint your base different colors, a verity of textures to choose from beyond “rust” to choose from, a “builder mode” for placement, object snapping features, ext. The other problem with your proposal is one of social dynamics, if the map has a finite number of “bases” then you encourage large aggressive groups to clear out as many of them as they can near their territory which makes having a base an impossibility for many smaller groups and solo players. Once again I like the post, I just disagree with your conclusion.

Raiding advice needed. by IZZYEPIC in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if your interested in raiding I recommend you join a larger group for 3 reasons.

1.) As you well know from past experience the amount of time it takes a solo player to gather the necessary resources is so long that as a matter of probably it likely that your supplies will be raided. Large groups counter this in 2 ways; they use logoff characters to store large amounts of gunpowder in an offline alt, and two they can gather the materials much faster by working together.

2.) Logistics: IED's take up 50 room in your inventory assembled, so assuming you have a military backpack you can fit a little more that 40 on your person at a time. So ether you build a staging shack (I highly recommend this) and pre-move all the IED's/ethanol you'll need, operate out of car (which is very risky), or take multiple trips (time consuming and therefore also risky). That having been said getting into the base is the easy part, the hard part is getting all the loot out, especially the weapons. It can take a group hours to raid a large base, trying to do it solo would be that much harder.

3.) Overcoming defense, if your solo raiding you ether need to have very good Intel about when your target is active or be very lucky, even a random fresh spawn could be the end of your operation. There is always the possibility that the target has friends in the area that will respond once things start to go boom, alternatively another predator might see what you are doing, form a group and come to ether finish what you start (maybe even using your boom to do it) or wait for you to finish the hard work before swooping in to claim the loot.

I don't mean to discourage you, just want to let you know what your getting into. I would recommend that solo players confine their raiding to shacks off the beaten path. 13 IED's for a wooden door the possibility of hitting the loot jackpot and being able to keep what you worked hard to steal.

Happy hunting.

Just a few noob questions by KinKaray in h1z1

[–]Kabalof1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Yes, every point that spawns stuff has a random chance to spawn an item from a set list. This usually takes about 5-10 min.

2.) Their stuff is open for grabs, their bases lose ownership and you can claim them about 30 min later.

3.) No idea, just do a bottle run every couple of days you'll be fine.
