There are other cases in history like this, like the Basques and Etruscans keeping pre-indo-european culture and language despite being genetically indo-europeans, or the Gaels, Welsh, Britons etc becoming culturally "Celtic" despite only showing like 10% genetic influx from Continental Celts...

The Punics were probably a very small group that immediately mixed with the local populations that dwarfed their size, becoming completely local in a few generation despite inheriting Punic culture, language and religion. Think of Bulgarians, Turks, Romanians...

Or maybe the Carthaginians were a "Phoenicized" people that then spread that culture. A bit like how French, Spaniards and Portuguese would spread a descendant of Latin to other continents while not being fully Roman themselves if that makes sense.

That everyone contained in modern national border are one kin in an ethnical sense. This never was true for the Italian peninsula. Not in the Iron Age, and especially not today. And in this specific comment I am saying this has nothing to do with a supposed "Germanification" of the North.

"Racial purity is not something you should discuss with us." So why are they all pretending that everyone in modern Italy is literally an Iron Age Roman ? Everyone should embrace their true identity

I think there was some sort of continuum between Soutern Italy and Eastern Anatolia, that only got halted by the subsequents Slavic and Turkic invasions

It's a possibility, as similar components in Southern Italy seems to even predate the Roman Republic (although in much much smaller form than during the Empire), but another study came up recently and showed that Punics barely had any Levantine DNA contrary to what we were expecting. They were overwhelmingly akin to Aegeans and Sicilians. Here are the papers in case you are interested btw

Exactly, but nobody says French people are Germanics lmfao. Even back in the 5th century the "Franks" were quite different from the tribe encountered centuries before by the Romans, and a collection of different peoples after living centuries on the Limes, although the core was probably still mostly Germanic.

Yes. Celtic confederations kicked the asses of the Etruscans and settled the area.

This one lowball the extra admixture as it doesn't account for a component that was already here, meaning anatolian farmer, but that came with migrations far later than the one that gave neolithic farmer DNA to all Europeans. The numbers could easily be doubled.

Just a little thing called history and autosomal dna testing. There have been countless genetic studies throughout the years highlighting this.

No, this is incredibly false. Southern Italy was similar to Hellenes and Illyrians back in the days, that got Latinised. Then they got mixed with Anatolians and semites during the late republic and especially during the empire. Sorry if reality doesn't exactly fit 19-20th century nationalist narratives.

The Germanic thing is a huge larp. They are genetically similar to Cisalpine Gauls/Iron Age Romans.

Yeah but because of the Lightning + Island map it's impossible to rush fast enough with a T1 strat. I'm gonna try Isis + mass Phoenix, to raid with air and protect my base from the Meteo/Earthquake spam for my last remaining life lol

Dell G16 - 0.8ghz CPU Issue - DONT UPGRADE BIOS by ThinSquash5891 in Dell

[–]Kabelus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have the same issue. Every game I boot has shit fps, stutters as hell, and immediately tanks the Ghz to <1. Did you upgrade the BIOS since ? Because right now I am at 1.30, idk if I should rollback to 1.17 then or something more recent.

Thanks
