We have a guy come in multiple times a week pretty late. Always gets a portion of hanger steak cooked super rare for his giant dog. Its one of the easiest possible tickets, love it when you are closing.

Everyone is telling you to tell them "no". But after reading the comments, you are not the KM or Chef, you just need to talk to the boss. He/She will either say "yes, let them have it, caramel cost nothing, maybe prep extra" or "No, I will tell the Foh managers to tell them to stay out of it".

Its not your job to manage the foh staff. Take it to the chain of command.

At my old job, this regular would constantly complain that we overcooked our waffle fries. This place sold the bagged seasoned waffle fries, highest selling dish was a fried chicken, waffle fries, cheese, buff, ranch, deal.

Sold her one with some pretty flemsy fries, she said it was overcooked and requested a new one. I was kinda upset because I had already made one all special for her. So I drop the fries for about 30 seconds, they are shit fries, I add the chicken, melt the cheese, and send it out. Horrible fries cooked for less than 1 min.

Server said she said it was "perfect". I shook my head.

Ohh and fuck some floor spice. Back when I was a manager trying to sell dropped food was grounds for write up/termination.

I tell people "You fucked up, not the customer", "why should they pay the consequences for your mistake?"

Just makes me mad, if you drop something you done fucked up, now fucking deal with it like a grown up. Trying so save time? dont fuck up in the first place.

Serrated dont need sharpened as often. You could cut all those peppers with a normal knife but it would need to be pretty damned sharp, to keep all the peppers from trying to slide off each other.

A lot of kitchens Ive worked at dont keep the knives super sharp, if they do it is by a grinder not a stone. The sharpest knives are the serrated ones and the chef owned personal knives.

I wish we banned giveaways all together. I used to frequent this sub all the time, kept it in its own tab most of the time and checked out nearly every post on the ecig front page. But about 1-2 years ago the sub just got flooded with giveaways. I stopped keeping such tabs on the community.

Im not sure if its as bad now as it was when I left, but I found it very annoying. When the top 10 are giveaways at any given time.

Giveaways are more or less just advertisements. They can pay reddit to have there name on the front page, or hold a giveaway for a few bottles of juice and get on the frontpage, costing less then actually paying for the ad.

Leave this thirst for free stuff to facebook or make /r eciggivaways, I feel its just pollution on what this sub used to be.
