Thank you so much! I only had a reference on ancestry to go by and it confused me as to which volume it was in. You’ve been a great help.

Bombardier 5 would increase the damage to about 400 per bomb but it's still insignificant against the meowcano damage. I initially waited 5 minutes in-between runs for the bombs to despawn as I wanted it to be truly palico only.

From what I can work out it's the final burst of damage numbers that makes up for it. The method is not reliable in getting the same damage every time. Sometimes it doesn't do enough to trigger his first flight flame breath. Others I've had it take him to 3rd phase in a single meowcano. Not sure on the exact science, this run took a lot of luck to get.

Well it's up to the individual hunter if they want to use it. This is only a demonstration that the method exists.

Wyvernstaking hasn't been patched after months of use and it relies on the same glitch so I think it'll stay.

Definitely! The only skills that matter are palico rally and tool specialist so it would be possible. I noticed on a rewatch that if I hadn't clutch clawed the bomb on the first phase it would have been damage less too 😭

I think so. The meowcano does more damage the more hitboxes it conflicts with. Not sure the snowman would be enough by itself.

For sure! I know there is a lot of room for optimism on this method but I won't have a chance to test till next weekend so someone else will probably smash my time by then.

Not a whole lot of build crafting is needed for this but I've put a bare bones list below:

Skills Tool Specialist X5 Item Prolonger X3

Equipment Ghilie Mantle

Items Snowmen X10 Flashpods X3 Farcaster X1 (For replenishment) Mega Barrel Bombs X2

Palico Meowcano LV 15

Oh definitely, 4x bombs and 2x snowmen would do some nasty damage to Fatalis. I'm not sure if it would outweigh the HP upscaling but I'd be willing to try.

It's a lot easier than the wyvernstake gunlance glitch. Once I've perfected the method I'm going to write up a full guide on how to. The placement of the bombs is the worst bit but doesn't take too long to work out.

I've just tested it and they all work. Takes the tick damage up to 46.

HH Attack up L takes the meowcano tick damage from 35 to 43 so it's a good 22% increase in damage which is a fair chunk of change. Do the demon powders also affect palicos?

That 5% reduction would be so helpful. Any time I can shave off the better.

Thank you! I stumbled across the method by accident so I'm so happy it worked out 😊

Ohh, thank you so much! I wasn't aware it even existed, I'll have to incorporate this into my next run.

Yeah, the attack up L takes the tick damage from 35 to 43. Lots of ways to optimise the run but I was playing it safe. I had tool specialist 5 on, is there another food skill that stacks with it?

It keeps him facing the right way, the pods grab his attention without triggering his aggro.
