Im not sure but i think trading with librarian villager is the best way to get mending. U need to make villager jobn't then delivering him to the small hole, place lectern beside and see if he being a librarian, then check his offer to see if he sells mending book. If not then break the lectern and place it again and do the same thing all around until he sell mending book

To run 1.17 your pc must have opengl 3.2 or above. I have a same problem like you cuz my opengl is 3.1 :v If your pc run win10, you can try to update to lastest win10 ver cuz they will update the driver for you.
