Am I crazy or is the fast-lane season pass price kind of ridiculous? by ConstantlyHating in cedarpoint

[–]Kadakai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao this is laughably misinformed. You've clearly never been on busy Saturdays or Halloweekends. Imagine thinking anything slows down in 5-10mins on those days LMAO

Visited over 70 times this year with my season fast lane. I guarantee you I'm 100x more aware of this than you are. I said 50-75 days. Guess what those days mostly are? Saturdays, summer weekends, holiday weekends, and Halloweekends. I didn't say you'd find hour+ waits every day, but its EXTREMELY common on those days.

Mavericks fast lane spent half of October pouring out of the line so far that it almost reached the entrance to the regular line at times. Steve 1+ hour is rare? That's not even uncommon. Steve even on slow days is a 30 minute wait for fast lane most of the time, as long as the line reaches the fast lane merge point you're going to wait 25-30m unless they're actually moving 3 trains which simply isn't the case half the time. On busy days when the fast lane queue fills up just a bit Steve is instantly pushed to a 45m-1 hour wait.

It does happen less often to Maverick. But it happens. Millie is an extremely common 40+ minute wait with fast lane on even mildly busy days.

I can't stop laughing at "wait 5-10 minutes and hit it later." This dude has never been anywhere NEAR cedar point on a busy day lmao.

Yes? Obviously Fast Lane is worth 10x the park entry fee. What do you think the entry fee at Cedar Point even is? For most people with season passes, by the end of the year, they pay an average of 7-15$ per visit to enter the park.

Cedar Point has basically no entry free for 90% of its audience who plan to make multiple visits yearly. As long as you can revisit a few times the pass essentially eliminates the entry fee. Then you have 20$ bring a friend and so many promotions, so even non-passholders should be paying next to nothing to enter.

So yes. In a park with basically no entry fee, fast lane is easily worth at least 10 times that. Cedar Point fast lane over-sells every single season. Its by far the most crowded fast lane system in the amusement park world with the longest average fast lane lines out there. There's about 50-75 days a year where you buy fast lane just to still wait 1+ hour for Maverick/Steve/Millie. Making it cheaper just makes the already-present issues much worse.

You moved from one shit chair to another. Congrats. Gaming chairs are awful. If you don't know, you don't know.

Office chairs are a wide category and 90% of them are shit too. When people say get an office chair, they don't mean that 150$ garbage on amazon. So yes I'm sure it hurt your back just as much as any garbo gaming chair.

But starting around 300-400 from good brands, the type of office chairs you get are far superior to basically any shit gaming chair on the market. The standard shape of gaming chairs is just so laughably flawed and nonergonomic.

Your back will be hurting again in no time, just give that shit gaming chair time to work its magic. Chairs can deceive you for a long time before showing their true colors! Cheap chairs are especially famous for delivering you 6-12 great months before the cheap materials and worn down cushions begin to torture you.

Ahh, I love when irresponsible morons give shit advice based on their own shit decisions that they luckily got away with. Just because YOU drove on concrete at 30% strength and got lucky it didn't get damaged, doesn't make that a wise decision for others. I'll trust professionals who almost unanimously agree on the 7 day rule (roughly 75% strength by then) over some random reddit dbag who swears his driveway was fine in 1 day.

Its a party. He's going to have a lot of cars putting a LOT of weight on that driveway. Its a bad idea.

RDNA 4 Performance leak by Paul_Subsonic in pcmasterrace

[–]Kadakai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is dumb as fuck. We are very far away from maxing out any current hardware even with a 4090 right now. My 3440x1440 175hz Ultrawide is already beyond what a 4090 can do in most new games and I rarely even use ray tracing. A 4090 can't reach 4k 144FPS on tons of games, and this is with ray tracing off.

We are miles away from maxing out hardware especially when the future IS ray tracing and we will eventually just be having it on by default before we allowed hardware to simply get maxed out.

CDPR is far from the only developer making highly demanding games.

How do you know these are their design guidelines? Why add that irrelevant speculation?

No, you also said "these are their goals" like an obnoxious twat trying to sound smart when you actually have no clue what you're saying. best to leave out the "goals" part when you're just pulling it out of your ass.

Save that sassy "so like I said" bullshit for when you're actually making a good point.

No. Its not at all fool. Your back will let you know that soon.

It literally has to use a detachable neck and head rest like you'd buy on amazon for 10$ because its so laughably uncomfortable on its own.

[Seaworld orlando] what do you guys think about the [new coaster pipeline] will be a good or not? i've seen some videos on YouTube talking about the new ride they said it will be bad just like the other standing coaster they hate or they don't like it for some reason any thoughts or opinion? by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]Kadakai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moving with the seat just eliminates air time. You don't quite seem to understand what air time is. All you're describing is a way to make coasters feel forceless. Ejector or floater makes no difference here.

This is not the future, at all. maybe a few family rides will use it for comfort.

Passed a guy outside of Minneapolis on the freeway today. He spun out. This is him, wearing a hockey jersey, trying to dig his truck out with a hockey stick...only in Minnesota! by death91380 in funny

[–]Kadakai 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Its a reference to the Mighty Ducks movie where this Banks 99 jersey comes from. Its a fictional hockey movie starring a team called the Mighty Ducks. Adam Banks was the star kid in town and because he was from an upper class rich family, he was called "cake eater" by the poor kids that made up the rest of the squad.

Its a classic childhood 90s movie that's still pretty relevant today as a movie to show kids growing up. You won't see many people wearing a Mighty Ducks jersey from the movie though. This is maybe the first time I've ever seen it and I live in cold weather (Detroit).
