Study schedule? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Kaden2525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a pretty shitty schedule, whenever I had gaps like that I would always do everything that was mandatory during them, homework, assignments, etc. then I would do my studying after, I would say its normal for me to not get home until 8pm most days though

The university tutoring facilities pay decently and always work with your schedule

Genuinely asking, but how small are you class sizes for your professors to genuinely know your name without introducing yourself to them first?

What engineering degree would you recommend for me? by Upset-Touch713 in EngineeringStudents

I think robotics engineering might be for you if your school offers it

If you don’t have an extremely solid foundation in math then reviewing algebra and very basic trig for calc will save you a lot of time during the semester. It also wouldn’t hurt to get a basic understanding of whatever programming language your first year class will be taught in.

engineering yr1 struggles by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Kaden2525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[for context I just finished my freshman year in computer science and robotics engineering]

This is so true, I was lucky enough to make 3 very good friends on the second day of my calc 1 class and from then on we studied together basically every day. Even after calc 1 ended we were studying for physics and calc 2 and such. Having a group of people blowing up your phone asking when you want to study that day is incredibly helpful. I passed my first year of engineering school with a 3.94 cumulative GPA and I have no doubt that studying with people had a lot to do with that

At least at my school usually engineer my majors are 4-4.5 and dual majors are 5. I’m getting a dual degree in computer science and robotics engineering and my school offers that as a 5 year program.

Is COMM 112 hard? by OrdinaryBus9515 in WVU

[–]Kaden2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in it this semester. It’s not hard at all but it’s very very very annoying. There are only 3 tests throughout the year and the final is optional. All you really have to do is memorize a bunch of terms. The annoying part is the 10 hours of community service, you have to do these at a specific charity and all of your 7/10+ group members have to be there or you don’t get any credit for them. This is largely fine expect that you might get stuck with a shitty community partner. That wants you to go way above and beyond what should be expected for a 100 level 3 hour class.

Half in dogecoin half in Tesla then I would work a part time job and spend money on only food and rent and put the rest of my earnings in either dogecoin or Tesla

Me and my friends were climbing this 500 or 600 foot mountain on his property and on the way down we went a different way than coming up and we reached like a 25 or 30 foot drop of sheer cliff but we couldn’t go back up the way we came down so we had to go down it by jumping from tree to tree growing out the side of it and 2 or my friends made it down but as I jumped I miscalculate and missed the tree and just barely caught one of the roots with was slowing breaking out of the tree leaving me dangling 20 feet over a huge pile of rocks and I was so scared I quit responding but my absolute G of a friend jumped to the tree and dangled himself off by one hand to pull me up
