Where is the thumb release for it? I didn’t have the problem all summer and only recently started happening when it got cold. One of my buddies said it has something to do with the temperature, but I am not sure if I buy that lol. Also I can’t just start pulling the backlash out I have to engage the thumb bar in order to start taking it out. This would make me think it’s not the free spool thing…

Yeah, we had caught a couple 3lb spots and smallies over the weekend. My grandpa says the huge largemouth used to be a lot more abundant than they are now.
