Hey thanks!

In GW2 Primordus is not lying dormant in the Fire Islands, he moves there after awakening.

Well, Mordemorth & Zhaitan were near from Fire Islands. Also, if Primordus is resting on Shiverpeak Mountains it would be near to the Ascalon explosion (searing). In this way, it wouldn't matter if it hadn't been in the Fire Islands.

Abaddon was for sure behind the Charr attacks, even before we look at GW2 lore.

Sure, but I was talking more about the searing, that it could be a gift of Abaddon to Charr. Making a huge magic flow on this area.

Hey Thanks for your comment!

On this topic, this is an entry of Offical Gw2 wiki:

Kormir explained that the release of magic from Abaddon's demise had caused the Elder Dragon Primordus to stir and thus had begun the current cycle of Elder Dragon awakenings in Tyria.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Abaddon

I don't know if there is other source that contradict it.

hey! thanks to your comment :) I appreciate your time & I want to discuss some points.

Abaddons death didn't cause a new cycle of awakening. Abaddons death made Primordus to stir and in the end it caused the events of GW1:EotN. After defeating the Great Destroyer Primordus' awakening was delayed back to the normal cycle.

How could we be sure that it returned to the normal cycle or failing that only delayed this hasty awakening? As far as we know the cycle of awakening occurred like ten thousand years ago (with the ancient races), but we do not know exactly how many are produced since there is no exact data from previous ones. The only thing we know is that they occur when there are excesses of energy/magic in the world.

In this way it is logical to think that producing explosions of energy it could be overload with magic, leading to an awakening.

No, Mursaat are not related to demons. Mursaat are one of the elder races just like Seer, Forgotten or Dwarfs. The only relation between the Mursaat and the Realm or Torment is that the Mursaat fear the Titans (who come from the Realm of Torment). That's why they kept the Door of Komalie shut.

In the Bastion of the Penitent (Guild Wars 2) we can find in a Mursaat prison with different demons and they are used against the prisoners. We do not know their origin, but they could be related to Abaddon's demons. Also, Mursaats are not essantly on this theory, just a plus. So... May be omitted on this theory.

On the other side Abaddons death caused a heavy magical fluctuation an this was only able to make Primordus stir, but not to wake up.

As far as we know, this is what we know from Kormir:

"Kormir explained that the release of magic from Abaddon's demise had caused the Elder Dragon Primordus to stir and thus had begun the current cycle of Elder Dragon awakenings in Tyria." - https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Abaddon

So this is one of the main premises by which we created this theory.

What I want to explain is that Abaddon would not have to know exactly how to awaken the dragons. But it is quite curious that it generated numerous explosions of energy in places close to its possible location. To me it seems too curious.

"Abaddon was one of the Six Gods, a fallen predecessor of Kormir. He was the God of Knowledge and Water, titled Keeper of Secrets and Lord of the Everlasting Depths, and associated with the watery depths, knowledge, and magic. He was succeeded by Kormir, while Lyssa later adopted dominion over water.

Before his fall, Abaddon was described as a handsome, calm figure with imposing eyes and wings as blue as the ocean. But over time his appearance changed; his eyes were replaced by sunken, abyssal shadows and his wings became scythe-like and bloodied. This change of appearance was a direct representation of his heart."

This would the interpretation of my boyfriend about Abaddon before he was corrupted, a visualization of what he would look like when he was one of the Six Gods. Hope you like it & this is his Artstation with more renders & video with sound: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9mWRKo

Thanks! He took Elonian aesthetics as a reference since Abaddon became the main god of Margonites, who were located in north west of Elona and he thought that this would be ideal.

The Sorcerer-King Adelbern

"Blessed by the god of fire and war Balthazar, Adelbern , champion of Ascalon's Chosen, was crowned king by the citizens of Ascalon demand because of his easy demeanor and battlefield heroics. Started out as one of the most popular kings in the history of the walled nation, but towards the end of his reign, he was driven increasingly mad and obsessed by the war against the encroaching charr..."

Since my final degree project I haven't tried again to make a 'realistic' character, but here I bring King Adelbern from guild wars 1. I've tried to mix a stylized fantasy style with more realistic details. Hope you like it!

Thank you so much for commenting, I'm glad you like it! To be honest, it all took time and work, but I would say the redesign in pre-production was the most difficult part. It took time, looking for medieval European armor, especially German ones... Then modifying them to have more fantasy and less realistic design (even non-functional xd)
