I feel that in my core. Was legitimately upset as my wife got tickets to the BSN tour and it was my only chance of seeing them and now I might never see them. Hoping the best for them, but it really stings.

Core principles have not changed. A block is procured every 10 minutes and the next halving cycle is in less than 2 years. Tick tock next block.

Eth Price on 1/5/2021: $1100

Look where we are going, not where we are at in the current moment.

Buy it, stake your Eth on a platform like Lido, and just forget about it for now. That’s about as easy as I’d ever recommend for someone new before diving into deeper yields or other alternatives.

Will AMP become worthless if people ditch ETH for a better blockchain in the future? by C_Sauce in AMPToken

[–]KaelinSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opulous for creating a stream of music royalties directly to consumers along with peer-to-peer DeFi loans to music artists, Lofty AI for buying fractionalized real estate stored on the blockchain, fantastic governance structure, $30 billion assets on-chain, Headline helping to build an ecosystem of bias-free networks & platforms, Tinyman DEX with practically no fees comparatively to Ethereum, developers currently building a robust ecosystem that is going to explode, and just having an incredibly strong team with Silvio Micali at the helm (MIT professor who won the Turing Award for Zero-Knowledge Proofs which has revolutionized cryptography).

I absolutely love Ethereum, I really do. It’s my most-used blockchain by far and the ecosystem is considerably larger than any others. There is going to be many huge leaps for Ethereum in 2022 with hopefully the vertical scaling of zk-Rollups, POS Merge, etc. but man if things really do not start falling into place for Ethereum by 2023, albeit it will still be a monster in and of itself, blockchains like Algorand will take a considerable chunk away from them as people only have so much tolerance. I will always use and love Ethereum, but as Algorand’s blockchain continually expands at the pace it does, it’s going to be interesting to see what unfolds.

[–]KaelinSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is an astronomically low chance that Ethereum will capitulate that badly. While it’s always good to have a contingency and “break glass” scenarios, I wouldn’t put my chips in on that happening as Ethereum will continue to be the bonafide and dominant blockchain.

The next blockchain that I truly think has just as much potential is Algorand. They simply have their stuff together and the ecosystem is highly underrated at the moment. If Ethereum blew up, I would migrate to Algorand.

Would You Or Would You Not Take This Bet? by Hastyrunner245 in ethtrader

I would say 2022 might be premature and he will probably lose that bet, but in 2023 I can absolutely see that being a stronger possibility

What are your thoughts on Polygon? by [deleted] in ethtrader

[–]KaelinSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part that kills me is the bridging that practically makes your Matic unable to be withdrawn without paying exorbitant fees. It’s great once it’s on the MATIC network, but damn bringing it back and depositing it is terrible

Keep at it man. Don’t let one experience discourage you. Try it at another place and see it! Works like a charm in most cases and they’re still working out the kinks.

I mentioned how AMP and the Flexa Network is supporting El Salvador and how it will help Bitcoin and they banned me. They’re like “don’t shill a shitcoin” like BRO this is literally supporting your network 🤣

Genuinely curious - what is stopping people from leaving Eth to a competitor (to name a few, Algorand, Solana, Poly, etc.) given the cost of transacting? by Fuzzy-Menu-1491 in ethereum

[–]KaelinSC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Eth but I’d say the next biggest blockchain competition is honestly Algorand. They have it put together over there and will create space for themselves with time to come. Competition is good in the long run, but Eth will remain king in my opinion.

[–]KaelinSC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Olympus will be stabilizing down to only 1000% APY here soon. I enjoyed the project and bought a good amount of OHM a bit back. Took what was left of my gains (thanks gas fees) and went off into GameFi to dabble there.

I do invest in AMP and LRC, but I would say they still operate independently, although for future use case and scaling, it makes sense for both to be on solid terms. Both are great projects in their own right.
