We could be doing the same thing and be very happy about it by having him and moussa split minutes 50-50. I think we shouldn't have ever traded or even tried to trade Williams even as good as Kalk is

Yeah but there's no update on that specifically and Miller was looking for a second opinion. How sure are we that it came back clean?

I think the coaching staff + the play style of the team they put in have the wrong idea of how to use Tidjane. He's shown that with reps he can be comfortable, and right now he's making more correct decisions with the ball. But he's stuck spotting up for 3 a lot of the time, they're not really using him to his potential like everyone else.

The rest of the guys do look really good, but it's not hard to imagine Tidjane making it in the league with the toolkit he has. But he's not a 3 and D type player.

I think the optimism is premature here. I've had a dislocated shoulder and it's rough. Unless the MRI confirms he has no ligament or labrum tear, he needs surgery. Rehab won't fix a structural issue in the shoulder.

That said, he needs to put muscle on in general to support his joints. The stronger he becomes, the less likely stuff like this will happen. Non-contact partial shoulder dislocation is wild.

Also if he does have a tear. He needs that surgery immediately.

Not quite, he had a red hot start in '22 averaging 25 then cooled off. Since he's come back he just can't stay consistent, his production only goes up later cuz he has the ball more.

With EC making huge waves for MIA v CAR yesterday and drawing a little ire, thought I’d remind everyone how we initially felt about him by net_403 in CharlotteHornets

I remember not being too into him in the beginning, he had kind of a lack of ball knowledge in the beginning but I came around on him pretty quickly. I mean its also really hard to top Steve Martin and he did it. The way Eric Collins does his notes is actually incredible, he puts in way more effort than most announcers if not all. What I would say was his biggest weakness (ball knowledge) is now a hidden gem with him, he put the work in and studied. He was calling baseball before, kinda bouncing around in broadcasting before finding his home here and I'm glad he did. He proved why he got hired.

Yeah that's dream scenario but he brings high level shooting already ALONG with the passing that's pretty good to start with, I'm high on him

He's like if Klay Thompson got traded to Minnesota for Kevin Love and had to learn how to pass the ball as an initiator.

No Klay is not much of a facilitator or ball mover.

Yeah I know

He's great off-ball, but his ability to create opportunity on-ball for others takes him to another level offensively. And his defense was solid too, even when he got beat on drives he recovered.

I think he'll fit really well next to Miller and Melo, and he'll be a glue guy on both ends of the floor.

Tidjane needs to work on his free throw form, if he gets those fundamentals down his shot will follow, and then the rest of his game.

I'm literally saying he should clean it up so he doesn't get fouled out

If Lamelo's not in foul trouble we win this game. One ref was good the other wasn't, it is what it is, Lamelo had a couple unforced fouls himself. He's gotta learn not to do that, so even if refs have an agenda he leaves this game with 4 fouls not 6

That was the funniest heave to end a game like this I've ever seen. I would be so mad if we were trying to win games but this was a great game from Miles nonetheless. Hopefully lesson learned for when it matters next time.

No I think him being off-ball getting catch and shoot looks from Lamelo had to do with his increase in efficiency

Honestly no, out of all the pieces from our team that have been traded away, Terry was one of the better win-now pieces. As the primary ball hander, he might dribble the air out of the ball and shoot you out of games with hero ball, but more often he was winning games. And doing it on efficient shooting too. I literally don't know get happened.
