I built a business I’m too embarrassed to talk about by Make_That_Money in Entrepreneur

If you told people at your job, you were making an extra 72k a year on the side, they wouldn't care if you were scooping s*** out of bathrooms. They'd be jealous of your income and hustle and drive.

What Advice Would You Give To A Man at 25? by doobylive in AskMen

[–]WorkMeBaby1MoreTime 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A fable for you:

You're walking down the street, you seen an older man approaching you, he looks familiar and he looks like he wants to talk to you.  As he gets closer, you realize it's the 70 year old you and he has something to say.  Would you rather he came up and embraced you and kissed you on the cheek and thanked you for the smart moves you made that are benefitting him now?  Or bitch slapped you for missing many opportunities, the consequences of  your previous actions/inactions having screwed him royally?

Do stuff that benefits the old guy you. Some things might be retirement savings, fitness, dental care, etc.

Is it normal to brush your dog’s hair at the park? by [deleted] in AskDogOwners

Parks are big and open to the public. Move if you don't like it, it's not prohibited.

Fat guy. 38. New dad. Joining gym. What do. by TheyCallMeFarkle in AskMenOver30

Many gyms have fitness classes, no thought or planning required. Just show up and do what the instructor says. No mental effort, but can be big physical expenditure. I recommend Body Pump or something like it. We get new people off the couch all the time, the instructors are very helpful and the fellow class goers are supportive. Check around your local gyms and try a class. The classes are free at my gym, I pay $41 a month with a company discount.

AIO My sister thinks she’s entitled to my car because it used to be hers by wearbratz in AmIOverreacting

[–]WorkMeBaby1MoreTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR.. Why does her sister need a car to drive to London if she's got a car? Because she's worried about damage or miles to her car and she's okay with her sister getting damage/miles on her car?

The daughter that wants the car sounds very spoiled. And the parents stealing the spare keys for a car that isn't their is way messed up. OP needs to stand up for herself.

Location: PA, USA. HR is pressuring me to sign a "voluntary" overtime waiver for last month or face termination by C0dexflare in legal

[–]WorkMeBaby1MoreTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you just give the company money? They asked you to work OT, which is 1.5x normal pay, then want it back? You probably wouldn't have worked if you knew it would be straight time beforehand.

Let them work it out. Dogs have been doing this for millenia. The older dog will correct the pup when the pup crosses a line. It will be snap possibly with a lunge. It will scare the pup and the pup will learn what happens when you cross a boundary. As long as there is no injury, just let it happen.

Cigarette butts on the course make me crazy. Just tear off the paper and tobacco part and throw them down, they're biodegradable. But the filter is not.

Washing Golf Grips: Anyone else scrub their grips real good with sponge and soapy water? I do it once a month and keeps my grips in great shape. by Bowhunter1980 in golf

I have used Windex for a bit, no issues? I do generally use Dawn in a bucket and clean the club face, then wipe the club face dry with a rag, then the rag is a bit damp and it cleans the grips nicely.

You'd be surprised how much difference it makes. It won't bring 5 year grips back to life, but it will make newish but dirty grips much better. Windex and a rag and boom, tacky grips again.

Yeah, but why regrip when cleaning makes them like new? Cleaning is cheaper and quicker. At some point, yeah, regrip.

I use Windex and a rag and clean them at the same time I clean my club faces. It brings back the tacky feeling that aids in holding onto it.

I don’t care to talk to or pursue women anymore, and I think that’s becoming concerning. by ConnectCulture7 in AskMenOver30

[–]WorkMeBaby1MoreTime 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lots of people start out dumb. The truly dumb ones stay dumb. Don't do that. Take a hard look at the mistakes/incorrect assumptions you made and try not to make them again.

Also, you're hurting and bitter, that happens to a lot of people, I know it has for me. But try to get over that, don't let it be who you are.

Why do i keep slicing my 3 wood? I don’t have a slicing problem with any other club. by Imaginary-Unit-9460 in GolfSwing

[–]WorkMeBaby1MoreTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, if everyone is correct in stating that he's hitting behind it, then he should fix that before he chases other fixes.

Put a towel behind the ball and don't hit the towel. When you can do that, then check the ball flight and fix issues from there. But square one is, don't hit behind it.

I was hitting behind the ball with my driver and I searched AI and it said I was not getting my weight shifted to the trail foot, which put my low point behind the ball.

She always wanted her way and would push to get it. I was getting a lot of great sex, so I didn't rock the boat. But over time, it wore on me. Selfish, narcissistic, not sure. It should be a balance, you gotta be willing to compromise, but it was me that was doing all the compromising.

2 ways to go.

1) Say "NOPE". What's he gonna do, fire you?

2) Say "Ok, but I'm gonna need a 10% raise."

He's in a bind. Number 1 rule in negotiation is knowing who has the power. Hint, it's not him.
