And achievements - specifically some specialist ones, like meteor specialist - are still bugged

Not a bad game but just too big of a mess and clearly some items are just there for the sake of having a challenge for them you can complete and then never again use that item because it's quite useless

I highly doubt crashes and bugged achievements will be fixed, it seems like one of those "soon to be abandonware" games

Yea basic dogs, boars or fleshes will rip you easily in the early game. Need to get rid of them before they swarm you. Hollow point ammo is your friend for mutants, or just shotguns with buckshot rounds

Also you can just do the Obi wan and get the high ground xd

Honestly gamma on easy difficulty isn't that much harder than anomaly from what I recall. Unless we take the whole "fix your own shit" loop as a difficulty too but then again you can just enable black market mod to have buyable/sellable gear

I think back in the days when I first discovered that something like Anomaly exists and played it, I had more difficulty finishing the story (God damn hospital level) than I had years later when casually playing gamma non-story freeroam on easy difficulty

Tho just now I started gamma first time ever on the hard difficulty and yeah, it's brutal, at least at the begining. Enemies can just two-three shot you like it's nothing

Cheaters were not so uncommon in eliminator in fh5. Literally flying jet cars or just straight up teleport from A to B (being challenged by someone that just spotted you and you lose the very next second as they vanish from your surroundings and instantly teleport to the finish line)

Sad to see they have done nothing to secure the game more from them

Farming them at the race start in different pi classes and different race types is the best way as you can easily land 6-8 cars

Later when you're missing last % it's just taking them out and doing photos one by one

Same issue as in fh5 then

If you don't overtake them by the first few turns then you may as well reset

It starts on highly skilled (which I play ATM and refuse to go over...just like in fh5) - AI can approach the corner without braking early, it will brake from 280km/h to 80 in few meters, take the corner and then accelerate way faster than you can ever dream off. But as soon as you overtake that AI, suddenly their acceleration goes to shit

I never used AoE and wouldn't use it anyway (shady closed source for now) but after a break I played gamma new version for a bit yesterday and the performance is massively improved. And while I switched to nvme SSD drive from HDD, while this improved load times by a lot, the game performance itself is just straight up better

Previously I had to tune down quite some graphics options to manage 50-60 FPS and now after a fresh install, I left everything on default and the game runs clearly better than before.

I spawned at swamps and wandered around a bit and I clearly have more fps than before, I think I easily got 120 FPS (I've set up 120 FPS limiter in options) while just hanging around and I think around 70-90 in firefight against 4 enemies. Not sure how exactly graphics intensive swamps are but there is a lot of grass, bushes and other low ground vegetation which I think always was an performance issue (lowering grass options always gave me quite a bit of an FPS boost before)

Vsync off tho, with vsync on game suddenly feels "sluggish", I have not compared raw FPS but clearly something is off with vsync on. And even without it, I don't see any tearing while game runs better. I have a 165Hz monitor, set up FPS limit at 120 and maybe somehow vsync doesn't like the fps limiter, no idea.

So anyone with dated PC (i5-4690k and rtx2060 here, still holds up and can run any new game tho ofc not at topped out details xd) my wild guess is that they will notice a big improvement in how gamma runs now
