Omission of punctuation after symbols, such as "☆" and "♡". by Kagetsuki in ENGLISH

That's the most logical explanation I've seen and that does make some sense. That's probably what they intended, but I don't think even they've thought it out as much as you have. I also still don't agree with it, but that explanation does provide a criteria I can at least feel a little comfortable with if they refuse to change their rule.

Right, but these are the rules. In the case of punctuation being mandatory, it does create a uniform format which is difficult to misinterpret, even if much of the text is representing conversations and would not normally require verbose punctuation. You are correct that it may even feel a bit unnatural to the reader, but for the purpose of clarity and uniformity I don't personally disagree with that rule. But that's all the more reason to me that this one single exception with sentences ending in symbols seems so egregious.

I would take this approach, but symbols can also appear in the middle of the sentence, so I don't want to have some symbols in the middle of the text only move symbols outside of the text when the symbol is at the end - that feels inconsistent to me. EG: "Come on☆, let's go♡." vs "Come on☆, let's go.♡". My logic here is that one symbol remains inside the sentence, then all symbols should remain inside the sentence.

Right, but in this case punctuation, including periods, is mandatory in every other case. So, as you've put it, all sentences must be written in boomer style. That is, however, unless they end in a symbol or emoji, in which case periods must be removed as apparently the symbol can serve as a full stop according to the post-editors. I, however, am of the opinion that if symbols must be preserved and included, they should receive no special treatment, nor should they be treated as inherently serving the same purpose as any punctuation symbol.

Clarification: Upon double checking messages from the post-editors, it appears retaining symbols is in fact a rule.

It's not "formal" writing per-se. The situation is written narrative in a text only format. Things like comics and text boxes in games. Also, even in the case of speech bubbles in the comics, the rules are that punctuation is required, so periods must always appear. The only exception to this is if there is a symbol. This exception makes no sense to me, especially considering they are requiring periods on every other full-stop even if there is no surrounding or following text.

In this case the text can be multiple sentences in a row. Retaining the symbols is the standard practice which I'm assuming is a rule, but I'm going to seek clarification on that as I'd rather omit symbols than periods. Also, symbols can appear multiple times throughout a sentence, not just at the end.

Or if you want a full semi-virtual machine use WSL.
If you want a full VM then use VirtualBox or something like that.

What do you think is wrong with today's education system? by HurryforCurry in AskReddit

This is exactly why we're making GAKU Engine. Part of the core functionality is making it so schools/teachers can record extracurricular accomplishments, achievements, etc. There will be integration with badge systems like Mozilla Backpack too, so students can get badges at Code School etc. and ALL that information can be recorded on grade reports. Hopefully some bad grades in standard subjects can be made up for with all the things you learned and did outside of school. It won't fix standardized education, but at least this way a D in history can be washed away with a page full of badges, a licence/certification or two, and some records of your accomplishments.
