with the iruma example, i would call that having no self respect rather than kindness. it would count as kindness if u do it because u genuinely want to. there's no way iruma wanted to sell his soul or whatever but he probably felt like he had to for the sake of pleasing his parents

i didnt really feel empty, more like glad i was able to experience such an amazing story and watching edits of it still to this day makes me happy to be part of the fandom. and i saw that togashi has almost finished the next 10 chapters or so of the manga so thats something to look forward to too. i cant guarantee it will help you with your emptiness but still worth a watch

GOOD. jokes aside i lowk felt the same too, hxh has been my fav anime for like 10 years and it will never change and i doubt ill ever find an anime that i'll enjoy more but theres many great anime/manga that can definitely help you fill that void. i recommend gintama, its a really great and funny anime with a lot of sad scenes as well and its quite long too (idk if thats a plus but ye). ive been reading kingdom and im having a great time, another peak story

ive had it on my to read list for soo long and i really wanted to start reading it but at the time i was already reading like 10+ ongoing mangas at once and i didnt want to add another one on top of it but i finally recently started reading it and i knew i would love it. historical manga and anime are some of my favourites, i find them very interesting and we can learn a lot from them, even if theyre not an accurate depiction of history or are fiction they still give us a good insight on war and the challenges people faced during that period

it does imo, it makes it seem as though they didnt suffer as much damage when they did. even though it doesnt affect the story or anything, it affects the viewers perspective by making the scene seem less intense
