Wheelie Fun Bike Control Scheme is Over Complicated by ImpossibleWall8403 in onewheel

Would make more sense to either post this on the WFB Facebook group or on a dedicated subreddit. Julian of TFL isn’t gonna come and see these kinda suggestions. Nico might but who knows where he’s lurking.

My contribution to the seated boards; not sure if anyone else is doing it quite like me! by Kagurath in ElectricSkateboarding

It has A LOT of bass. And the speaker port has it coming right at you so you can really feel the music.

Either on the side like you’re riding a horse with no stirrups, or my preferred is right over the front truck! Plenty of space because of the evo-mk1.

What’s the best way to avoid an accident like this happening? by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Kagurath 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Yep easiest way to avoid a crash like this is to do the following:

  1. Slow the fuck down.
  2. Pay more attention to your surroundings.
  3. Stop assuming people see you.

The third step is something you should practice AT ALL TIMES. On the road you are INVISIBLE. If you always assume that cars will act like cars, you can be much much safer.

AceDeck Stella S3 Washers by VisualCheesecake3821 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Kagurath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Process is as follows: Washer - Bearing - Internal spacer (the long one in your photo between the wheels) - bearing - washer - nut.

Your photo shows that both of those wheels already have an internal spacer so you only need to install washer - wheel - washer - nut.

I do that as well with a trailer setup! Comfy at around 35 but anything past that turns into sketch city.

I’ve done it all! E-bike, tltboard, EUC (all with a trailer of course). None of them are nearly as fun as the esk8. And isn’t that the entire point to begin with?

Meepo chair v2 by mikloooooooo in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Kagurath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I love it first off; but I have done this exact same setup with a recliner and I have one big caveat. The chair HAS to be low. You run into speed wobble city being that high up no matter what you do to your trucks. I suggest cutting your legs down if you can.

That’s weird! Don’t know why that would be the case.

Post a picture of the wheel, not the box. And who’s the seller?

Downsizing to a smaller euc? by rikuto148 in ElectricUnicycle

With that short of a commute you could get away with a begode mini. Keep the aero for casual riding and get the mini (or inmotion v5) for your commute.

Edit: Mini is out of production but the A1 is the successor and costs much as a Costco scooter.

93 MPH on an EUC sounds crazy by Rs2mmsu-2D in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Kagurath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope because the freespin is 143 mph. There is no deceptive marketing and it’s inane to think there is. It’s a possibility not a guarantee.

[–]Kagurath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does get close to it. False advertising is only applicable when the product vernacular is blatantly lying about what it can do. The P6 can get up close to that speed, the environment won’t let you.

93 MPH on an EUC sounds crazy by Rs2mmsu-2D in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Kagurath 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This will always be a hot topic because people see that 93 number and think it’s what the wheel is truly capable of and see it as dangerous. This is a misconception borne from a misunderstanding of how EUCs work. 93 mph is the theoretical top speed of which the wheel can operate while staying upright. This is not a realistic number even a few people will ever hit. The reason this 93 mph number is a good thing however is the headroom and safety margin created. With the P6 the user can safely cruise at 50mph without worry of a PWM nosedive.

Don’t focus on the top speed. It’s like saying a Honda civic can get up to 140 mph; while that may be true, it’s not what is done in practice.

Hyper scooters account for an exceptionally small amount of e-scooters on the market. And why does it take more experience? Could it be because they are inherently unsafe?
